Our condo is located at Gentle Winds, a 65 unit development located on the North Shore of St. Croix. Gentle Winds is built on 66 acres of ocean front property with spectacular views from all units. The popular dive spot named West Wall is located just off the front beach where two dive boats can be seen anchoring for their guests to enjoy their mid morning or mid afternoon dives. We are within a 5 minute walk, under 1/4 mile, to the Salt River Marina. The beachfront has a beautiful sandy beach with palm trees and plenty of lounge chairs to pull into the sun or pull under a palm lined cabana for some shade. There is a roped off section for swimming - take your mask and snorkel to discover some colorful local coral fish.The Beach Shack serves a delicious burger and lentil salad which I highly recommend while you are enjoying your rum drink or iced cold beer. At the end of the patio a short flight of stairs leads you to two additional levels of decking surrounding a brand new glass mosaic pool. The shimmering iridescent pool is complete with a swim up bar and built in gas grill. Along the back of the pool is a large covered area providing shade for some club and lounge chairs. The smaller awning over the pool bar ensures that there is always some shade to be found within the pool itself. The pool area is the only space that is shared with the main house, but you can expect to have it to yourself most of the time.Sailor’s Rest is centrally located in St. Croix, so you can get anywhere in 30 minutes and it’s only 4 miles to the shops and restaurants of downtown Christiansted. One of the best parts of this North-central location is that there are two grocery stores and a market within 5-10 minutes! This is a huge advantage over the East End.
