The Suarsena Escape

We’ve stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is a bit away from the main road, but due to the instructions from the hotel, we found it pretty well. It was a bit remote, but in a beautiful setting. Also the location was perfect for us, since it’s in Central Ubud, very close to the Market, Palace, lots of restaurants, etc. But still when you’re at the hotel it is quiet in contrary to Ubud itself, so it was very nice. The room was clean and all in all well maintained. The only thing was the mold in the bathroom and in front of our room was also a lot of mold on the ceiling. While we were there a piece of ceiling also fell down. The pool area also looks quite nice, but for me the water was too cold and a bit dirty and I couldn’t sit by the pool because of the mosquitoes.

A really beautiful setting, with gorgeous rooms/bathrooms/pool! A little remote and hard to find, but the staff help you with this! They kindly took my bags to and from the main road when I checked in and out! I had a bad fall on my first night which has resulted in me needing stitches and antibiotics, and my phone breaking. The hotel were so kind and lovely, and really looked after me including taking me to a phone repair shop to get my phone repaired! Nothing was ever too much trouble for the team- they really are so kind and hardworking!

Hotel looks amazing, 100% match the picture. The vibe is great and the best part, the staffs are AMAZING. However, I did encounter few issues during my stay. The shower is running very low after my first shower and the shower was coming off the wall. Another issue was about the cleanliness of the beddings. It smells old and looking closely, I found some spots on pillow cases and blanket covers. So for people who are super clean freak like myself or are very sensitive to allergens, you might want to keep this in mind. Staffs are really the best part, they helped me with everything. So nice people. Note that, the hotel location is not reachable by car so large luggages are not recommended. Hotel staffs will pick you up at Guardian pharmacy and they are SO NICE. Another note is that if you are very scared of insects and geckos, this place might not be for you. However, it offers an amazing getaway from city chaos. The view is amazing and you feel peaceful. I was told hotel staff who stay onsite 24 hours can help you deal with them if you have issues.

yes generally, the location is near the main town. however its actual location is deep inside and you will have to walk pass some old shops, multiple small construction sites and small rice fields. cars cannot get through. to get to the property, you will also have to go through extremely uneven road surfaces (and also some terrain) which is tough when you have luggages. may not be well lit too at night. ended up checking in but not staying here. i booked another accommodation much nearer to the main street. would recommend staying here only if you are a group of friends who are planning to ride around ubud using motorbike. you can ride in.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, excellent service, and a strategic location. I will definitely stay here again if I visit this area.
