Our experience at Golden Tulip Mandison Suites was mixed. We arrived late at night, only to find out that our Executive King Suite had been given away without any prior email notification. Instead of a similar room, we were "upgraded" to a Family Room, which was far from what we had booked. The room felt more like a student dorm with two single beds and a bunk bed—definitely not ideal for a couple's stay. Worse, we couldn’t even push the beds together. Since there was no alternative, we had to spend the first night there.
After requesting a room change, we were finally moved to our originally booked room on the second night, which was much better. However, no compensation or goodwill gesture was offered—we had to ask for a complimentary breakfast, which was only approved after consulting the manager.
Other service issues included:
Loud music in the corridor early in the morning, making it hard to sleep.
On the third day, our room wasn’t cleaned, and in the afternoon, housekeeping knocked multiple times despite us declining the service—not ideal when trying to rest.
That said, the hotel does have its positives: the rooms (when you actually get the right one) are spacious and comfortable, the breakfast offers a good variety, and the pool area is nice. However, service and communication definitely need improvement to match the hotel’s advertised standards.
The hotel is a bit far from the main road and metro station, and calling a Grab was inconvenient. Apparently, there was a small shuttle bus, but we were never informed about it, which could have helped a lot—again, poor communication.
But these are all details, I would come again
