I was a bit worried after reading some reviews initially, but this hotel actually turned out to be a pleasant surprise on this trip! First off, the front desk helped me with a room upgrade and also allowed for a late check-out. They really tried their best to accommodate all my requests. The bedding was very comfortable, and the mattress wasn't too soft, so I slept incredibly well. The cleanliness was also pretty good."

"First off, the lobby is spacious and grand, bright and inviting, with a well-equipped lounge area. Secondly, the room was spotless and well-appointed. It had multiple windows, all of which could be opened, ensuring excellent air circulation. The shower had fantastic water pressure, and the hot water came on instantly. The latex pillows were incredibly comfortable. Finally, I have to give a special shout-out to the breakfast; there was a great variety, generous portions, and the food tasted delicious. The dining environment was clean and comfortable too. Overall, a very satisfying stay!"

"An unexpected stay that exceeded all expectations! Sheraton Xuzhou truly embodies the meticulous hospitality of Pengcheng! 🤩 My husband and I visited Xuzhou during the May Day holiday. I received a call in advance from Shel at the guest services center, who gently inquired about our arrival time and room preferences. I tentatively asked about an upgrade, and Shel professionally stated that she would do her best to arrange it based on the day's availability. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to find that we had indeed been upgraded to an Executive King Room in Building 1. The room was spacious and cozy, the king bed was very comfortable, and the view from the window was expansive. It was also conveniently located near the lobby, making it very comfortable for two people! 😁 On the first night, we didn't feel like going out, so we had dinner at the Chinese à la carte restaurant. Manager Cui was very enthusiastic and helped us choose dishes based on our tastes and appetites. Every dish was an authentic Xuzhou flavor. The flatbread in the 'digouji' (local chicken stew) soaked up all the sauce and was delicious. If it could have been a little spicier, it would have been perfect for us, but I understand the hotel needs to cater to guests from all over. The entire meal was very satisfying. 😋 To avoid the crowds, my husband and I deliberately woke up early for the first breakfast seating at 6:30 AM, and it was a great experience. The variety of dishes was much richer than expected. I recommend the Xuzhou-style rice noodles, where you can add your own toppings. The beef broth was rich and flavorful, and a spoonful of chili oil made it even more satisfying. We both ate until we were stuffed. Another small detail left a lasting impression. In the morning, as we were leaving, we encountered a male and female housekeeping team (on the 6th floor of Building 1) in the hallway. The lady proactively smiled and asked, ”Do you need us to clean your room again?” I explained that we were checking out at 12 PM to catch our high-speed train and wouldn't need it, and only then did she confidently wish us a pleasant journey. This proactive service mindset is rare; instead of waiting for guests to ask, they anticipate what guests might need, which feels very heartwarming. 👍🏼 When checking out, a concierge at the door proactively helped us with our luggage. He was efficient, friendly, and smiled throughout. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for his name, but I must give him and the two housekeepers a thumbs-up in this review. From room arrangements and dining to various service details, the overall stay was excellent. The next time we visit Xuzhou, Sheraton will still be our first choice.
