"🌟 **Highly Recommend! (4 Big Pros)** **Prime Location:** Only a 6-minute walk from Reading Station! This distance was a lifesaver for me, traveling with a whole family, big luggage, and three kids. **Suburban Hub:** It's just over 20 minutes by train to Oxford, and very close to the stunning Cotswolds. This is the perfect alternative to save on expensive London accommodation. **Amenities Galore:** Within walking distance of the hotel, you'll find local historical sites, museums, and several large parks, which are super convenient for letting the kids burn off energy. **Dream Trip Enabler:** The overall convenience made our dream European trip incredibly smooth; we could head out whenever we wanted. ⚠️ **Heads Up! (2 Cons/Challenges)** **Stairs – The Ultimate Boss (Top Floor Attic):** We happened to stay in the small attic room on the very top floor. While the natural light and space were cozy, we had to haul our large luggage all the way up to the 3rd floor (which in the UK feels like the 4th floor)! The stairs are numerous and narrow. If your luggage is too heavy, you'll seriously question your life choices. I highly recommend packing light if you stay here! **No Indoor Slippers Provided:** This hotel doesn't provide slippers (a common eco-friendly practice in old European hotels and B&Bs). If you're used to wearing slippers, remember to bring your own from Taiwan."

"The location is in the center of Reading, very close to the train station, convenient for travel. The room is in another building and there are staff to help with luggage. The room is nice with a balcony. The hotel restaurant food is also OK. I went late on the day of check-in and only some dishes were available. The wine was good. The hotel made a mistake in the bill when checking out and charged me an extra fee. I negotiated with the platform and got it refunded. Overall I feel satisfied."

"I only stayed one night, so I can't say it was great or terrible, just okay. The room was generally spacious, and while it had been renovated, many of the facilities were still mediocre. For example, there were only bedside lamps and no main light, making the room quite dim. There was no remote control, so I couldn't watch TV. Opening the door was also a bit inconvenient. I specifically requested no corner room in my reservation notes, but as expected, I was still given a corner room on the second floor. Since the price was relatively cheap, I guess it's understandable they didn't follow the request. If you're looking for something better, you might want to look elsewhere. This is just for your reference."

"Nice place for a couple of nights, the hot water needs regulating as it gets too hot, so have to play about with the cold water to get it right. Tv weird as it has no standard channels but you can watch Netflix and Amazon."

"I had a very nice 2 night stay. The room is a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable. Everything worked well, from the shower temperature and pressure, to good wifi. The staff was friendly, available and efficient. Unfortunately I did not have time for breakfast which was included, so cannot talk of that, but it was just a 13 min walk to a shoppmall with a big supermarket. There was a big car park, if you drive, but I came by bus from Reading Railway Station and found it a short walk from the stop on arrival and for returning to Reading the bus stop was just in front of the hotel."

"The hotel is conveniently located, about a 4 to 5-minute walk from Reading train station. However, the hotel is generally quite old, and many facilities are in need of maintenance. The shower temperature was very difficult to control, and the fridge wasn't working properly. The room itself was spacious, and the price was more affordable compared to hotels in London. Breakfast was excellent value for money at just £13, with a wide variety of food options. The staff were friendly and very willing to help."

"We had a lovely stay here for a wedding 15 minutes drive away. The staff were very helpful and accommodating at all times. The only comment I would like to raise is that we were given room 9 which was described as an accessible room (which we didn’t need) but it was completely inappropriate as accessible as the shower ( which was in the bath) would have been completely unsuitable for a wheelchair user, or someone else with difficulty moving who wouldn’t have been able to climb into the bath to use it. Breakfast was excellent."

"I came out of hospital and we went straight to the go co hotel. What an amazing experience.  And such a beautiful greeting from all staff. My girls absolutely loved their stay and swimming. They also took to the wonderful ladies at the reception. Thank you so much for all you have done and for such a wonderful time and service  Can’t wait to come back xxx"

"I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Reading-South M4, Jct.11 for one night and had a very positive experience overall. The location is convenient, especially for those traveling via the M4, and the hotel facilities were modern, clean, and well-maintained. Everything from check-in to the room comfort met my expectations, making for a smooth and enjoyable stay. I’d rate my experience a 9/10 — the only thing that would have made it a perfect 10 would be the inclusion of free parking. Aside from that, I had a great stay and would happily consider returning in the future."
