I decided to choose this residence on the advice of the academy in Barcelona where I study. Half a year before departure, as soon as the registration form for the new academic year opened, I filled out an application and paid 400 euros in tax (more expensive than in others, as it turned out much later), then they told me that they would contact me, but they didn’t write to me about the contract in the summer, in August I wrote myself. For one month I could not contact them because they ignored the messages. In September (a month before departure) they informed me that they were preparing a waiting list and would contact me. 2 weeks before departure they wrote that they did not guarantee me a room, they did not send me a contract and said that the waiting list would only be ready in October, although I warned half a year in advance for how long and on what dates I needed a room (they did not answer me that there was none, they said that they would contact me) in the end I found myself in a terrible situation, having paid 400 euros and having spent half a year waiting in vain in order to finally look for another place (considering that there were 10 days left before the departure of places and all the residences were already full. I suffered terrible stress and after two days search found 1 free place in another residence. They immediately signed a contract and I paid only 100 euros in tax. Onyx finally offered me a room for 2 months instead of a semester *since they don’t have another* blatantly deceiving and taking my time and money. They did not inform me that they give out rooms *only when someone leaves* but at the same time they ask for 400 euros and do not provide details. They did not return the money to me, citing the fact that *well, we found you a room * although she was not what I wanted, and they gave her as much as THEY wanted. Having informed about the availability of the room 10 days before my final departure to a foreign country. This is absolutely tactless and arrogant. I strongly do not recommend this residence. They don't think about people, only about money and how to get people into rooms faster. They didn't tell me anything in advance, everything was at the last moment. They didn’t report that according to their system (as it turned out later, it’s the only one, it’s not like that on other campuses, if there is a room, then there’s a contract and payment immediately, if it’s not there, then they immediately say no) they open registration for the new academic year without even knowing whether rooms will be available, but they take money. They wait for someone to come out a la some time, whatever happens, and tell you like it or not.
