"Just a 5-minute walk to the subway station. It's not in the city center, but it's a clean, new area not far from the airport, perfect for an overnight layover. There's a large Mercadona supermarket downstairs with everything you could need: snacks, drinks, bottled water, fruits, meats, seafood, beer, wine, hams, sausages, and daily necessities. Service: The front desk can help call a taxi. Facilities: The rooftop skybar is available for walk-ins. Environment: The panoramic elevator offers sea views."

The Central House Barcelona Gracia ★★

📍 Carrer de Còrsega, 302, Eixample, Barcelona

"There were a lot of mosquitoes in the accommodation, which I think was due to Barcelona's humidity. There weren't many showers or toilets, but it didn't cause any major inconvenience."

Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel
8.5 (166 reviews)

Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel ★★★★

📍 Pl. d'Europa, 50-52, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona

"I booked this Renaissance for the last three nights of my trip in Barcelona. 1/ First, the location. It's not particularly close to the airport; the taxi fare here is almost the same as going into the city center. However, if you take public transport to the city, it will take more time. 2/ Next, the service. I checked in at 2 AM, and no one contacted me beforehand to ask about my arrival time. As a Marriott Titanium Elite family member, it's quite unusual to be so unmanaged. (Even budget hotels like Quanji or Atour in China would usually reach out). 3/ Regarding the room. Upon arrival, I was checked in by an older gentleman whose English wasn't very good. After a bit of a struggle, he assigned me a low-floor room (on the third floor), which was the only room with a visible number near the elevator. (As a solo female traveler, I don't understand the reasoning behind this arrangement). It was quite noisy; I constantly heard the elevator going up and down and doors opening and closing. 4/ And then, the cleanliness. After housekeeping on the second day, they actually removed the bin from the bathroom vanity. What does that mean? Are we not supposed to use it? The mouthwash wasn't refilled after housekeeping either. I drank water from a glass in the room and left it on the bedside table, and it wasn't removed after housekeeping. I'm not sure what housekeeping actually did. 5/ Finally, there were bugs! And the air conditioning wasn't warm. The next morning, when I went downstairs, I coincidentally met a group of flight attendants who had checked in on the same night, and they were also complaining about the AC and other issues. In summary, I do not recommend it. I suspect all the positive reviews on Xiaohongshu (🍠) are paid."

Leonardo Royal Hotel Barcelona Forum
8.7 (68 reviews)

Leonardo Royal Hotel Barcelona Forum ★★★★

📍 Pg. del Taulat, 278, Sant Marti, Barcelona

"The room was very spacious, close to the beach, and had great views. The breakfast was also excellent, with a Spanish flair."

Numa Barcelona Colmena
8.6 (926 reviews)

Numa Barcelona Colmena ★★★★

📍 Ronda del General Mitre, 238, Sarria-Sant Gervasi, Barcelona

"It couldn't be worse. A few hours before, they changed my reservation at the Numa Brío to the Numa Colmena. I called the hotel's phone number, but it was impossible to get through. When I finally got through, they told me they spoke poor Spanish and couldn't locate my reservation because there was a problem with my last name. When I arrived, there was no one to help me. At the hotel entrance, I tried to contact them again to get the access code. I had to check in myself from my mobile phone... incredible. I will never return to a hotel of this chain where there isn't a single person to assist me."

360 Hostel Centro
8.5 (59 reviews)

360 Hostel Centro ★★

📍 Bailén, 7, Eixample, Barcelona

"Great location, friendly staff, they could make a bar/pub inside"

"This hotel is in a lively area, with lots of people around at night. It's really close to the subway station, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. The guy at the front desk was so enthusiastic; he even spoke some of the Chinese he's been learning with me. Hope he keeps it up, haha!"

Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel ★★★★
"This is hands down the worst five-star hotel I've ever stayed in! I booked a suite, but the facilities were incredibly outdated. The 'sky garden,' which was supposed to be a design highlight, was full of dead branches and withered leaves. The terrace, originally separated from the next room by shrubs, now only had a wire mesh. When someone next door was taking a bath, it was so awkward I couldn't even step out! I checked in at 8 PM, and the rooftop club above was full of laughter and singing, with occasional English conversations clearly audible until 1 AM! In the room, everything from the floor to the ceiling, including the sliding door between the shower room and the foyer, was severely damaged. This meant that as soon as I opened the room door, I had a direct view into the shower. Even worse, the main door was broken and couldn't be locked from the inside! The hygiene was also a major concern. I was initially surprised there were no mosquitoes in Barcelona, but it turns out they were all in this hotel, with small moths even in the bathroom. I had booked for two nights, but I genuinely couldn't stand staying there for another minute. After coordinating for a long time to change rooms, the only available suite also had a broken bathroom door. And the front desk staff said the duty manager wasn't in, so I couldn't check out, and they couldn't guarantee a refund for the price difference if I downgraded to a standard room! After four hours of back and forth, I decided that even if it meant losing nearly 10,000 RMB for two nights, I would insist on checking out. However, it was too late to book another hotel, so I had to use a chair to prop the door shut and reluctantly stayed for one night. Thankfully, Trip.com fully compensated me for my loss when the hotel refused to refund. My many years of loyalty to Trip.com have proven worthwhile; it's great to have someone genuinely help resolve issues when traveling!"
