Le Tardif, Noble Guesthouse

What a wonderful experience at the Hotel Tardif, which actually isn't a hotel, but that's what made it so wonderful. From our greeting by Jasmine, to special attention to a problem from Laure, the hotel made me feel so welcomed and pampered. Our room was at the top of the stairs on the second floor. It was lovely, with period furniture. Our bathroom---it was bigger than a hotel room we had in Paris. The hotel is an estate with beautiful gardens. It is very well-maintained for a very old estate. Everything worked beautifully, although without my glasses in the shower, I didn't realized that there were temperatures printed on the dial of the shower. Once we realized how it worked, it was perfect. Breakfast was held in a lovely, windowed room. If we sat on one side, we could look onto the garden in the back of the house. The other side is near the fireplace. There were lots of different options for breakfast. Very European. Eggs, sausages, wonderful bread (we are in France after all) and cereals and a cake every day. I guess there is a pool, but we could not take advantage of that. The staff was very helpful when we wanted to take a day trip to Caen. They made it so easy. Suggestions for restaurants were very good and I wish I had all the time in the world to revisit, because I would stay no where else in Bayeux. It was the perfect location in Bayeux.

Beautiful hotel.. lovely rooms, some with park views and access. Our group of six stayed three nights. We each had different category rooms but all were spacious!! Welcoming staff, walkable town, great location, central to town and walkable from train station. Great breakfast, as well! Highly recommend!!

The property is beautiful and well located in the heart of Bayeux. The cathedral, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. The staff are gracious and attentive. The grounds were lovely, and breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay, and plan to return in the future!

Very friendly and accommodating staff who did not resent communicating in English! :) Beautiful setting and excellent location. Breakfasts were very good as well. Coffee in the room was very much appreciated. Reasonable cost for laundry services which were done quickly and with a smile! The gardens there are extremely lovely and allow for a peaceful getaway. Highly recommended.

One of the best locations in Bayeux. From the beautiful courtyard and gardens exclusive to guests you can see the spires of Bayeux's grand cathedral. From the main entrance, the cathedral is less than 5-minutes. Bayeux's main shopping streets are also within 10-15 minutes so the location is top notch. The common areas are elegantly appointed and very cozy. The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful, and we had a great time chatting with them. The morning breakfast was well stocked and always with extra pain du chocolats ready to go. There is a private courtyard with tasteful gardens throughout for exclusive guest use. Hotel does have a pool but it was closed for the season. We were three adults so our room had a small side bedroom with a private door to the courtyard and gardens. The room was very spacious with a nice bathroom containing a separate tub and amazing shower. There was lots of closet space (more than we needed). No AC in the hotel but it was April so weather was cool. The staff did give us portable fans upon request. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for others. I will never forget strolling through the courtyard at night and seeing the beautiful spires of the cathedral looming over the hotel.

The hotel lobby and rooms are beautiful as well as the garden. The staff is super friendly and helpful. This is truly a gem in the middle of Bayeux. The location is excellent and easy walking distance to all the best restaurants that they were helpful in obtaining reservations. I highly recommend it,
