"Basic hotel. The location is good, close to the center by walk or car. The room is small and the bathroom is like a camper. I don’t like that you have to pay for the amenities. The breakfast is ok, according to the price. You can bring you dog with you and enjoy the breakfast in the terrace. Also there is a check-in machine in the parking to do it if you come late."

"What to say about this beautiful mansion/castle… It is a gorgeous building, with a gorgeous park, and gorgeous potential. But unfortunately I believe it is also a very difficult and expensive business for the owners to keep up with not only the style/deco, cleanliness of the amenities and labour charges for the service. The staff we met was really sweet and helpful to us, but surely overworked and multitasking at everything. I have plenty I could discuss here, there is so much that could be done to make this castle hotel experience as a premium one. But, am not the owner, I don’t have the responsibility and the stress of maintaining a HUGE place with limited revenue and forever overheads to deal with…. I’d like everyone here to think that when you are choosing to stay in a castle, and you pay only €160 a night, you cannot expect the results of a €350 one. So, yes, there are many things to improve at BelleFontaine, but please, do continue to stay there, dear Travellers, to allow the owners and their family members, to take care of their castle. Thank you for them. (If the owners want me to tell what I would recommend… contact me! )"

Campanile Bayeux

"This hotel's website gives a somewhat misleading impression. It's more of a motel than a hotel. The advantage: ample parking. The rooms are okay, but worn, and in our case, even with a lovely view of a meadow. The windows and doors are outdated, however. The shutters need to be operated manually. The welcome and service are rather mediocre. Young ladies were more interested in their phones than in the guests. Expect nothing, and this hotel is fine for one night. Located within walking distance of the charming town center of Bayeux."

"A huge advantage is that a 3-star hotel at an excellent price is shared with a 4-star hotel located in a nearby building. This way you enjoy a shared breakfast and spa facilities that belong to the more expensive hotel. There is free parking in the streets near the hotel - the receptionist showed us on the map when we dropped off our luggage. There is parking at the hotel for a fee, 12 euros per day, but when we arrived it was full"

"The hotel bed is a blanket, which I really don't like. Good location, simple breakfast with few varieties, but the taste is ok. The service attitude is good, but the professionalism can be improved."
