Beijing Xiaoxi Homestay is located at Erdaoguan, Jiudu River, Huairou District, Beijing. As its name suggests, Erdaoguan was the second pass of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, and many complete city platforms or walls were left in the village. Xiaoxi was fortunate enough to choose many courtyards that are interdependent with these sites, either by the city platform or with the original city walls as the walls of the courtyards. Our hosts started with the original intention of respecting and reviving history, with the Great Wall as the core, and matched with the architectural techniques and craftsmanship of each courtyard's original site, to create the current 13 courtyard group with different styles, ranging from quaint and elegant century old houses to solid stone buildings. The Japanese style courtyard with a wooden structure has been in use for nearly two years, just like our name "Xiao Xi". We do not seek grandeur, but only hope to refresh our hearts and minds, Not in a hurry to achieve, but in a meticulous manner; The attitude of being meticulous, slow, and clumsy in life is temporarily called 'little joy'.

Great place outside of the city and surrounded with nature! My family and I have an amazing and peaceful stay. Also thankful to the host for being so helpful and friendly. Only thing was that it was a little more difficult to get Didi around the area since it is in a more rural area.

Outstanding! Very clean, stylish and comfortable rooms. Service was very good, even before the trip providing information about parking etc. Food was excellent. Will come back again.

The location is beautiful surrounded by mountains and the Great Wall. The location isn’t ideal for people without a car it was quite difficult to get a taxi to pick you up and take you home. Having my own cabin was very nice and it was peaceful and quiet. However, the bed was hard, the water sometimes would go out, the toilet didn’t flush properly, and at night the centipedes and millipedes came out. They do have different cabins around and I wish I had chose one that was not so rustic. I think it was not worth the price charged and it isn’t foreigner friendly as no one spoke English. I had to have my didi driver speak with the girl and then I contacted trip.com. If I do return it will probably be with a group of friends and I would pick a different room.
