During my stay at Liupukang Hotel, one issue was impossible to ignore—the condition of the bathroom. It was poorly maintained, far from clean, and had a heavy, unpleasant smell that made it very uncomfortable to use.
The room itself was disappointing as it didn’t feel adequately clean. The lack of proper maintenance contributed to an overall sense of discomfort during my stay.

Excellent location, only a 6 minute walk to Gulou Dajie metro station which we used every day to visit sites.
Room was comfortable and clean. Air conditioning worked perfectly, TV included HDMI cable, and hot water had no issues. Water bottles provided each day, as well as tea leaves.
Local markets nearby which we used to buy fruit and veges. 7/11 just across the street. Would recommend.

Location is excellent; walking distance to GuLouDaJie Station. Also very close to some of the top attractions in Beijing, including YongHeGong Lama Temple, ShiChaHai, Beihai Park and the Forbidden City.
Facilities are quite limited as it's more of a Hostel instead of a Hotel. WIFI was slow and hard to activate, no breakfast available and cleanliness was average due to the building age. However the reception did offer 24-hour security at the main gate and staff was very helpful.
Everything considered, I still enjoyed my stay due to the location and value.

This hotel is comfortable and quiet. Nice and warm when it's cold outside.
It's about 5 minutes walk to a market and there are several restaurants close by. It's also near the subway.

The hotel blocked our hotel access card on the second night of stay after tiring day at the Great Wall, claiming that we only paid for a single night. Shown evidence of payment and got the access back but no apology offered. Internet is only available for chinese nationals, not for international tourists without chinese phone number (false advertisement red flag, guys). Worst customer service experience - except for the kind old security guard at lobby, he’s the only nice thing about the hotel.

Electric kettle was broken, we asked to replace it with a new one, but they also gave broken one. Shower had problems, they fixed it. Hotel has no restaurant, no breakfast available at the hotel.
