We found our stay there okay. We were in the Berlin Mitte apartment.
Our rooms were very dusty; at some point, the dust settled on the floor because everything was flying off the windowsill and even over the kitchen. Unfortunately, the apartment doesn't have any parking spaces, and you're forced to buy parking tickets, which can be quite expensive.
Also, the apartment unfortunately doesn't have an oven... We're wondering how you're going to survive there for 6 months (maximum stay) without an oven. There was a small dishwasher on site that didn't even fit large plates. We were there for 5 days and were given 3 dishwasher tablets, which is pretty pathetic, as well as garbage bags. If you're actually cooking there three times a day, you have to spend a lot of money on them, and there was clearly not enough toilet paper. The garbage bags didn't have handles, so of course all our garbage fell apart.
The heating was on continuously even though we turned it off.
The smoke detector is above the kitchen. There's a sign there telling you to be careful, as it's very sensitive and could go off (in which case you'd have to pay for the fire department yourself). You're afraid you'd cook pasta there.
So, for the money, I don't really recommend it.
