A lovely rustic Guest House with spacious, tastefully furnished rooms and public areas. There is thoughtfully placed furniture outside each room for al fresco drinks or food. The grounds contain a small swimming pool and gardens (including a small vineyard). The rooms aren’t serviced during your stay, although fresh towels will be provided on request. The owners (Caro and Hugh) are a lovely, personable couple. The house is about 5km from the centre of Blenheim but Caro or Hugh will drive you into town, if they are available, for a small fee if you don’t want to drive, or there are taxis available. Breakfast was nicely served in a lovely dining room with classical music playing in the background. However, the food options were very limited. We had delicious scrambled eggs (from their own hens) and smoked salmon each morning, but no offer of fruit, yoghurts, cereals, toast, preserves, fruit juices etc.
