Borj El Chmali Hotels with Bars

A friend of mine and I visited Tyre (Sour) in Lebanon and we stayed at the Platinum Hotel here. We are most impressed with the hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff are so friendly and the owner is delightful. The service has been outstanding in that whatever we requested, e.g a hairdryer and to ask them to adjust the air-conditioner due to the cold weather, someone was there to assist within 2 minutes of the call. The pool area and outside courtyard is stunning. Such a pity our time there was rained out. They also have a spa with a sauna and steam room and a hammam spa. The breakfast was pleasant and typically Lebanese but the breakfast staff were very obliging. On the Sunday that we were there, it was pouring with rain and there was no way to venture out for a taxi so the owner himself gave us a ride to the restaurant! How absolutely sweet. It is also a 5min walk to the Hipperdrome (Athaar al Bass). All in all, a great experience. We will highly recommend this hotel.
