"I specifically came to observe this place during my trip, curious about its story. It's only about 2 kilometers from the highway. Even though it's pitch black at night, it's not that difficult to drive. The area, including around the hotel, is still undeveloped, and it's over 20 kilometers from the county town. So, after 8 PM, there's practically no food available. The hotel has a small shop where you can buy snacks, but forget about delivery. During the day, you can go to the county town, to Dushan Grand Hotel, and experience 'palatial treatment.' Even if there are only two of you, you'll start with a large private room, with no minimum spend. However, from the hotel to the Grand Hotel, the food can only be described as very average, and Guizhou cuisine is heavy-handed and rough, though the portions are generous. Be cautious with shrimp paste beef; most people aren't used to it. The beef is tough to chew, and those accustomed to Chaoshan beef will find it hard to adapt. Plus, the lingering smell of shrimp paste on your clothes is truly indescribable. The room itself is large and quite clean. The air conditioning is sufficient; even with temperatures only a few degrees at night, the room can maintain around 27 degrees Celsius. It's quiet, and the hot water is fast and plentiful. There are plenty of parking spaces. The complimentary bottled water is good. The hotel's main attractions are its lobby and exterior. However, in my opinion, it's definitely not comparable to those high-end brands costing over a thousand, as many reviews claim. This is due to many details. For instance, the toiletries, the cobwebs on the wall decor behind the bed, the high curb when entering the elevator area from the underground parking (making it difficult to drag luggage), and the inexplicably steep slope of the underground parking lot which scraped my car's undercarriage several times. Also, there are design issues with the drainage in the room; unpleasant odors emanate from both the sink and the toilet. The buffet, however, is affordable; I've never seen a dinner buffet for 58 RMB per person. The quality of dishes from the Chinese restaurant needs improvement. Noodles are better than rice dishes. The minor issues that arose were handled with sincerity by the hotel. It's clear they value their guests and are very cautious. Currently, most guests are tour groups that arrive at night and leave first thing in the morning, so it's mostly empty during the day. This place is suitable for a few days of relaxation, especially in the summer for the hot spring pools. Note: The tall girl at the front desk on the second day, right up until checkout, deserves praise. I liked her service style."

Even more surprising were the details: the firm mattress with lumbar support relieved my back pain after a day of visiting clients. Before leaving, I wanted to print out my contract, and the front desk staff immediately checked the number of pages and stapled it. They also reminded me that ”the nearby intersection is prone to traffic, so it's recommended to leave 15 minutes early.” Now when I go on a business trip to Dushan, I don’t need to compare with other hotels at all - Yishan InterContinental has fully understood the needs of business people. Living here, I don’t have to worry about accommodation and can concentrate on doing my work!"

The road to the mountain was very difficult. I was repeatedly beating my heart in the middle of the way. Finally, I drove to the top of the mountain. My energy was already on the verge of exhaustion, but then I participated in the ridge hiking experience. The beautiful sunset and the stunning scenery reawakened my mood for vacation. After watching the sunset, the restaurant prepared a mutton pot for dinner. My family and I don’t like this kind of mutton, but the crispy meat is very delicious, and the variety and quantity of vegetables are also suitable for my needs. I am quite satisfied. After eating and drinking, I returned to the room and planned to wash and clean up and have a good rest, but I was greeted by three tests. First, the toilet flushing system was broken; after taking a shower, I found that the hair dryer socket had poor contact, so I had to move it to a place other than in front of the mirror to operate it; the most annoying thing was that the smart curtains would open and close irregularly, and the jamming sound was irritating and uneasy, which made me collapse directly after driving a day and having a very shallow sleep. I couldn't fall asleep until midnight. Fortunately, my family was not affected by this, and the customer service staff was really patient and apologetic. I didn't want to lower the evaluation for this, but I hope that the management will really pay attention to the maintenance and repair of facilities from the perspective of the guests. I woke up before dawn the next day. The sunrise in winter is about seven o'clock. The morning light is really gentle. There is a hand-cranked grinder in the room. I made hand-brewed coffee by myself. I played in the room until nine o'clock for breakfast. I played on the first and second floors of the public area all morning, took pictures, drank tea, and swung on the swings. I left with peace and joy. The good service and beautiful environment of the hotel are a place to create beautiful memories for myself and my beloved family. I hope you will get better and better. PS: Going down the mountain is much easier than going up the mountain 😅"

"It is more than 30 minutes' drive from the west gate of Xiaoqikong. Both sides are very close to the highway exit, which is convenient for self-driving. There are also many supermarkets and restaurants downstairs. Bring your own breakfast, the price is affordable, and it is generally very good. The disadvantage is that there is no charging station nearby (after all, it is a small town, and the only charging station is far away), the sound insulation of the room is relatively poor, and the hot and cold water is unstable at night."
