"This hotel, nestled in Sounkyo, is likely the highest and largest in the area. It boasts three hot spring baths, both indoor and outdoor, offering breathtaking views of the distant mountains, streams, and charming bridges – truly a serene experience. There's also a mid-mountain hot spring, beautifully landscaped with various trees that burst into different colors in autumn, and you can even smell the fresh grass. It's utterly therapeutic! Both dinner and breakfast are buffet style, featuring a wide array of local Hokkaido delicacies. The DIY grilled beef on a hot plate was exceptionally tender, and the scallops and salmon sashimi were delicious. Plus, there's unlimited drinks, and you can even mix your own cocktails! Red Leaves Valley is right next door, just a 5-minute walk. During autumn leaf season, they have light and shadow shows at night, which are worth checking out. The daytime scenery is even more stunning, and you can hike to the end where there's a small waterfall. Be aware, the path can be a bit challenging, so it's more of a short hiking trail."
