"I was lucky to have great weather on the island with bright sunshine, so the photos turned out really beautiful. However, it felt more like a trendy B&B than a hotel. The breakfast was delicious, but dinner was just so-so (there's no 7-Eleven on the island, and it's inconvenient to go out, so if you don't want to eat at the hotel, you might want to bring some instant noodles; there are snacks in the room but they're all quite sweet). I wish the room was a bit bigger, and surprisingly, there were no complimentary toothbrushes. Even though I got a bargain price during the off-season, I'd feel it wasn't worth it if the price were any higher. I'd recommend the Mint Lotus hotel next door instead. 😂😂😂"

"We've stayed at this hotel many times over the past 20 years. In the last year alone, we've been twice: 7 days in April (one room for two) and 9 days in January (two rooms with family). The hotel is quite old but well-maintained. Its main selling point is its central location, and it's a proper hotel, not just a guesthouse on the island. Breakfast is perfectly edible. The Wi-Fi is slow, but it works. Room cleaning is good and done daily. I've stayed in almost all room types. If you want to be right on the beach, the best are the Villa Beach Front rooms from S2 to S6. Q (Queen) and K (King) rooms are good for families with many children or if you prefer to all stay together. D (Deluxe) rooms are for couples or families with one child. All these rooms face the sea. There are also 4 smaller C (City View) rooms with windows facing the road, which are the most budget-friendly. Message the hotel before you arrive, and they'll pick you up at the pier for 20 Baht per person, and drop you off too. Check-out is at 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM at the latest. If you want to check out later, it's best to book an extra day. A suggestion for the hotel: please wipe down the very top shelves in the closet where the umbrellas are kept sometimes. It feels like we're the only ones who do it in our room. But it's not a major issue; the other shelves are clean. Rooms have safes and kettles. Generally, rooms have one large bed and a small sofa. You can book through Trip.com or pay the hotel upon arrival. I've done both, but Trip.com is easier – book it and forget about it. If you pay at the hotel, cash is better as cards sometimes don't work. If you have any questions, email the hotel; they usually reply within a day."

"The environment is truly beautiful. Our room had a sea view, and there's a wooden boardwalk and a beach. The hostess is very gentle and thoughtful. It's about a 30-minute drive from the pier, with restaurants nearby, and a 15-minute walk to Ao Prao Beach. However, the hotel's downside is the significant amount of trash on the beach to the right of the wooden boardwalk. It's not visible from afar, but up close, it's quite off-putting. It's sad to see such a beautiful environment with such a neglected area. Additionally, the breakfast quality is not high, and the variety is limited. The seafood porridge mentioned in other reviews was also gone. We stayed for two nights, and on the second day, we ordered fried eggs, but they hadn't arrived even after we finished everything else. When the server cleared our table and asked if we needed anything else, we reminded them about the fried eggs. It took a long time for them to be served, despite there being only a few guests at the time. Overall, there's a lot of room for improvement with breakfast. Finally, I want to thank the owner. Our pick-up car was late, and our phone card couldn't make calls, so we asked the hostess to contact them. Later, the host also helped us, even waiting with us. The car was 23 minutes late, and I was anxious, worried about missing the boat back to Koh Chang. With the host's help and company, I was finally able to patiently wait for the car to arrive."

"Best beach so far , no pool but understandable that the beach is perfect.  No welcome drink or impression over first time arriving ,not staff itself , I meant the view the office the entrance not attractive at all.  Breakfast was cold but nice Thai style. Many tourists , loads of Mosquitoes  , in my room can fits up to 3 people, funny that I can’t fall asleep because the air con made the weird noise all night until I switch off, I don’t like their hospitality but love the beach."

"Simply an excellent hotel, but keep in mind it's on an island. The hotel has 30 bungalows and 44 rooms in the building near the entrance. We called it a 'dorm' after one of the bloggers. The hotel is located on a gorgeous beach with perfect sand and crystal-clear water. The grounds are beautiful and lush with greenery. There's a swimming pool (we don't use pools). Plenty of sun loungers are available. Most guests stay for only 1-2-3 nights, so loungers free up quickly. The staff are polite and try their best. Housekeeping is weak; the bed linen wasn't changed once in 4 nights. A squashed mosquito on the wall was left to greet new guests. In fact, all the walls had mosquito marks. Breakfast is from 7 AM to 10:30 AM. No queues, items are replenished promptly, and there are always free tables. The selection is small. There are tasty pasta dishes, egg dishes, a coffee machine, and a variety of juices. The reception provides free masks and snorkels for swimming. You can also take a boat for an hour for free."

"This hotel is fantastic! This was our third time staying at Shanta, and we returned after a long six-year break. The hotel has gotten even better since then. It's quiet and peaceful, and the staff are incredibly efficient and discreet. We honestly haven't tasted better food anywhere else in Thailand. Beach towels are readily available, as is bottled water. There are always sun loungers free, even when the hotel is fully booked – you hardly see anyone, it's truly a place for relaxation. The bedding and towels are excellent quality. They've also started providing daily snacks like cookies and nuts (in addition to coffee, tea, and hot chocolate), plus sweet sodas. We will definitely be back to our beloved Shanta!"

"We had a room in the furthest bungalow, on the second floor, with an amazing sea view. The room itself was very cozy. The view was ”a million-dollar view”! High ceilings. In the room, there were large umbrellas (which perfectly protected us even from the scorching sun), flip-flops, and comfortable kimono-style robes. The bed had a soft mattress, pillows, and a duvet. It was very comfortable to sleep. The air conditioning was modern, cooled excellently, and without interruptions. We were surprised by the absence of glass cups. At first glance, the breakfasts seemed meager, but in reality, everything and even a little bit more was plentiful. And from 3 PM to 5 PM, there was ”tea time” with free tea, coffee, sweet snacks, and egg sandwiches. The entrance to the sea is very shallow. During low tide, you have to walk quite a distance. It's advisable to wear appropriate footwear, as there are often sharp corals or shell rock on the seabed. A little further out, there are also a large number of sea urchins. Overall, we liked everything. Thanks to the friendly staff and the magical island for my vivid impressions!"

"Overall, it's a great spot, but only for a couple of nights: the beach and sea are stunning, the tents are stylish and interesting, and the breakfasts are decent. We had lunch and dinner there too, but it was pretty mediocre, both the Thai food and the pizza. By the third day, it loses its charm, and you get tired of the shared toilets and showers. We were happy to move to a more standard accommodation for our remaining two nights (which we had planned in advance)."

"Our family of three lived in this new year for three days, and there was still some reluctance to go. The hotel has a beach, the most beautiful at 7 or 8 in the morning, there are very few people, the sand is not bad, and there are free kayaks for guests to play. The hotel is a small villa, very new and very clean, mini bar snacks can be eaten free of charge, building materials are mostly taken from natural materials, very environmentally friendly. The most praiseworthy is the hotel's restaurant, which is superb. I thought that the materials on the bone island would not be fresh, but in fact, the hotel restaurant can kill a large number of high-end restaurants in Bangkok, regardless of the ingredients or taste, and the price is very good. Kindly, we have spent two or three hundred yuan on a dinner meal with a full range of seafood and meat. There is also a happy hour every afternoon, and the cost is also very good. The fly in the ointment is that the hotel is rather ridiculous, travel can only rent a small motorcycle, the hotel rent a motorcycle to 400 pigs a day, slightly expensive."

Located in Ko Kood, Mint Lotus Resort - Koh Kood is a 2-minute drive from Klong Hin Beach and 6 minutes from Klong Chao Beach. "Brand New Resort with Exceptional Service and the Best A La Carte Dining Experience!” Service & Facilities: Mint Lotus is a newly opened resort featuring modern, comprehensive facilities. The staff members are exceptional—incredibly attentive, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. As it is a smaller boutique resort, you really feel the warmth and personalized care. Atmosphere & Vibe: The resort is located on a very secluded beach with almost no crowds. If you are looking for ”ultimate peace and privacy,” this is the perfect destination. The atmosphere is serene and relaxing. Note for families: Our family was actually a bit disappointed because we personally prefer a more vibrant and exciting atmosphere with more people around. However, for those who truly love silence and solitude, this place is a 10/10. Exceptional Dining: The food here is the absolute highlight! The Buffet A La Carte system is incredible. There is a massive variety of dishes to choose from—it’s never repetitive or boring. Every single dish we ordered was delicious. This is easily the best A La Carte breakfast/dining experience we’ve ever had at a resort. The Beaches (Two Sides): The resort is uniquely situated between two different beachfronts: The Front Beach: This is a curved bay with a stone breakwater. Because the water circulation isn't very high, there is some algae and the water isn't perfectly clear. There are some small rocks, but it is still swimmable. The Back Beach: A short walk from the resort. This side is beautiful! The water is crystal clear, there are gentle waves, and very few rocks. It’s the perfect spot to soak and relax in the ocean. Summary: A top-tier choice for travelers seeking a brand-new resort with high-quality food and total seclusion. If you want to escape the world, come here!"

AApol ElenaExcellent hotel. We've stayed here twice already and have booked it again for November. The beach is small but sufficient. The pool is fantastic. The bungalows are comfortable. The grounds are incredibly beautiful, and the sunsets are out of this world! The restaurant serves delicious food. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but everything is very tasty. There are 2-3 hot dishes and 2-3 side dishes, along with vegetables, fruits, and eggs prepared in any style, including omelets with various fillings. They offer cheese (4 types of excellent cheese) and ham. There's a variety of pastries (croissants, biscuits, waffles, pancakes) with jams, condensed milk, and chocolate. The coffee is decent. The staff is very attentive. On the beach, there are kayaks and paddleboards available. The low tides aren't a big deal. There are hardly any restaurants in the vicinity, just one in the neighboring hotel. You can rent scooters right at the hotel. I recommend it!

PPavel GolikovWe stayed on February 17, 2025 in Sunset Bungalow No. 6 The friendly staff greeted us, we left our things at the reception and went for a walk along the beach, since it was still too early to check in. The beach amazed us with its beauty, but the entrance to the water was a bit rocky. We took a kayak and swam near the shore, snorkeled and it was time to check in. The bungalow had a pleasant fresh clean aroma, flowers were laid out on the bed and welcome drinks were waiting for us. The view was incredibly beautiful, I am attaching a photo. There were drinks and snacks in the room, which is very convenient, since it is quite scary to walk to the shops at night. I especially liked the kitchen and the bar, the cocktails were quite well prepared. For breakfast, we were given a questionnaire to fill out where we could indicate our food preferences. The breakfast was incredibly delicious, you will understand everything from the photos) This hotel has touched our hearts, we will definitely come back again.

TThames_KuThe resort has just re-branded. They are developing and improving their resorts , facilities, services. There is high speed internet all area and strength signals. The most strength mobile service signals is AIS but they just equipped more for True/DTAC. The room is clean and comfortable bed. I recommend you bring your soap, shampoo … (Hotel provided but not good enough for me). There is personal beach in the front of resort. It really nice but many big stones. If you would like to swim in the sea, I suggest you swim far from the beach area.

GGuest UserEasy to get to from the port. Upon arrival nice greeting and drink- the kids liked it. Room allocated quickly and the person who met us was great. Beach is excellent- sunset is beautiful. Pier great to jump from. Swimming pool warm with seats to relax in. Room was good, air conditioning worked. Ignoring broken toilet seat and broken soap dispenser- the room was fine and close to the beach, restaurant and shop. The room has WiFi and the tv has Netflix access if you have an account and YouTube. Motorbike hire is easy- check for bold tyres. We had a puncture almost immediately. My fault for not checking carefully enough . Service in the restaurant was disappointing- I had to ask each day for coffee. The staff pulled faces when asked as if it was too much trouble. It was awkward asking 2 days in a row. Both staff were equally difficult. I understand it is low season - not so many customers but they need to pay more attention to diners, play some music and have a simple welcoming look. Breakfast was not so good. If you want eggs or omelettes cooked- good luck! Everything seemed too much trouble. We had dinner there on the first night. The service was terrible but the food was nice and well presented. Booking trips or boats out was easy and well organised. It was strange that this was so good when the service in the restaurant in the same place was so poor. I personally would not stay here again, there are nicer hotels along the coast that have better service and facilities around the same price point, I didn’t take many photos here, it felt soulless. I was happy to leave. The island is excellent. I’m glad we explored it but I would never stay at Sea Far again.

GGuest UserCaptain Hook is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. The villas are nice, we stayed in a room with its own mini pool. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel can help you arrange boat rides, scooters to rent, ferry tickets, etc. Some amenities the resort offers are massages, fire shows, snorkeling, kayaking, and skiing. You should know that there is no beach in front of the resort, but it’s a quick swim/canoe to the beach across from the resort. The restaurant and bar sits right on the water and offers various western and eastern options. We would definitely recommend the fried chicken wings! It was a great holiday and we would choose this resort again when we travel to Koh Kood in the future.

GGuest UserWe stayed for a week in February in a beachfront bungalow with air conditioning. We absolutely loved it. 1. Gorgeous beach and surrounding nature. 2. The room has everything you need, and everything works. 3. Breakfasts are abundant and varied. Fruits, fish, pastries, steamed food, soup, etc. Both adults and children will be satisfied. 4. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. 5. We had massages twice. Highly recommend. 6. The sea is wonderful. There's a reef with fish to the right. 7. There's a shop, restaurants, and bars nearby. You can walk to neighboring beaches. 8. Excellent location. Quiet place. In the middle of the island. We rode a scooter to waterfalls and remote beaches.

PPOMAZKINAlthough the hotel isn't huge, the grounds are well-maintained. The rooms are small (like most on the island, to be fair), but the bathrooms are massive, and both have been recently renovated. There are no TVs. Breakfasts are decent, almost homemade. The hotel offers scooter rentals and various beach essentials like inflatable mats and balls. There's a restaurant right next door and a roadside cafe not far away, and the prices were a pleasant surprise (not expensive for the island). S Beach is a short walk from the hotel, and the water there is incredibly clear. There's a massage service on the beach (prices are standard for the island, not cheap if you compare to Pattaya, Koh Chang, or Bangkok). The location is great because it's a short scooter ride to any of the beaches, waterfalls, etc. Highly recommend!

AAllieLWe had an amazing 4 night stay at the Mak Trat and I can’t begin to say how wonderful, new, clean and well kept this place is. We arranged a hotel pick up from the Ao Nid port and within 5-10 of our arrival they came to pick us up, and took our luggage straight to the room. The villas are extremely charming and the beds are very very very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious as well and the food at their own restaurant, and the amenities like the swimming pool area are very clean, beautiful and inviting. The staff is very kind and helpful informing you about day trips and also, you can rent a scooter at the hotel itself. We’re in love with this place I would 100% stay there again. Highly recommend!

NNoomNim PI truly appreciated the warm, service-minded attitude of the team—especially the Front Office staff and Khun Alex, who were absolutely outstanding. The complimentary bead bracelet given at check-in was such a charming and thoughtful touch—I loved it! In-room amenities were carefully curated and genuinely impressive. The large woven tote bag, plush slippers, and soft bathrobes made the stay feel extra comfortable, while the coffee machine added a luxurious touch that far exceeded expectations for this price point. Although the property shows signs of age, I believe a renovation or a few thoughtful updates would significantly elevate the overall guest experience.
