A really beautiful family run hotel. Our room (5) was amazing not just a really comfortable and clean bed but a spacious bathroom with a TV in the bath amazing. The food was second to non and very plentiful you certainly would not go hungry here. If you’re thinking of going to this area think no more this is the place to go. All good, excellent place to stay whilst visiting family in the town.  My only disappointment was in the booking  - I wanted a smaller room and both the website and hotel stated there was one available but having almost completed booking was told only a master bedroom was available and considerably more expensive.  I had no time to investigate other options in the town.

Everything, from the initial response and greeting on arrival, to our departure, was excellent. The hotel is in a lovely position overlooking the sea in a green valley. It is clean, warm and has a friendly and efficient staff. The room was comfortable and furnished to a high standard. We found the beds extremely comfortable. Once we had followed the instructions for the shower, we had immediate and plentiful hot water. The food was excellent. We had the table d’hôte menu on both nights. The Arancini starter was wonderful, as were the prawns and the pâté. My wife had the steak on both nights as it was so delicious. My fish, sea bass one day and salmon the next, were perfect. Desserts too, were great. The breakfast was very good. All meals were freshly cooked to order and the chefs deserve much praise! Eype is an ideal location for visiting West Dorset and Devon. We had a memorable day exploring Lyme Regis and the nearby coastal villages. Branscombe was a find, with a friendly café right on the beach and the stunning coastal path. Pretty in February, this area must be beautiful in Spring, so we shall be returning to Epes’ Mouth Hotel soon. Thank you to the management and staff for providing an individual country hotel which gives its guests such a good experience.
