I remember that I had a very good impression of this hotel when I stayed there for the first time last month, but this time it seemed to echo my premonition of human destiny. There is a light in the kitchen that can be on or off as it pleases, and the washing machine has a lot of foam without adding detergent. After I cleaned it, it can be rinsed clean without detergent. I have created a miracle to have the best of both worlds. What I can't stand is that the wifi always drops out at will, forcing me to go out in the rain to use the internet to post reviews

Stayed there for business. Hotel is well located but absolutely filthy with I am guessing close to zero maintenance done over the years. Rotting and mouldy food between couch cushions, un vaccines carpet, stained carpet. Food spalter in microwave, cracks in bathroom Sink, Downlight not working in kitchen and worst of all… cigarette smell (unsure if from room or connected air conditioning). Bed and mattress was old and sinking in middle. Clear lack of basic cleaning and maintenance.

Really wanted to give an 8 or more as location was really good…. However the following made it a 4 at best. 1) not welcomed as an Accor member 2) no feee welcome drinks as mentioned, just a bottle of water 3) emailed regarding loud music on first two nights that kept my family up all night - respond was they would contact me after my holiday, still no response 4) one of two lifts broken on day one, still not fixed on day 4

I had booked the room for 7 nights as I was in Brisbane for professional training course. I arrived in early evening (5pm) only to find there were no lights or a lamp in the lounge room where I could sit and read materials. It was very dark. The staff were very helpful, but said I'd probably have to move to another room and also took a photo of my materials to encourage management to buy a lamp. In the evening when I went to sleep, there were no curtains in part of the bedroom - the street lights were coming in very brightly into my room making it very difficult to sleep. In the morning, I went to start cooking some breakfast only to find there were no pots or pans in the kitchen for me to do this. The phone to the reception was also not working so that I could get someone to drop the kitchen items off despite me dialling the number. This is really not good service. If I can't sleep, eat, or read, then what was the point of the hotel apartment??? In the morning when I checked out, I was informed a payment would be made - but I insisted that this needed to be in writing as I was walking out without any correspondence or payment receipt. The process was laborious - they said it could take up to 2 weeks for approval and bank transfer. I had to call a few times to ensure that this was done as I was now needing to find a new place to say AND be out of financial pocket. This refund should have been done On the Spot - like other professional hotels would do. I also was charged $250 for a night's stay - just a horrible experience. The staff were very nice to deal with and did the best they could. But senior management need to look at the facilities they have promised guests, and ensure it is of the standard they have advertised. It's not good enough.

Zachery and Dion on the front desk provided service 'above and beyond' exceptional. Help with luggage and locations saved us heaps of time on a very tight writing schedule. We chjoose a 2-bedroom to use the 2nd for equipment holding, and the apartment was compactr, clean and afforded a nice balcony view towards the 'London Eye' part of town. Parking has alwaays been a challenge for us, but with the underground parking provided we were free to enter and exit as we needed with the room key fob. Clean and well-located. Well done on the part of the staff and team.

I love staying at Mantra Midtown because they always make an extra effort. A staff member called me a few days before my stay to see if I needed a carpark and if I needed anything else organised during my stay. There was a personalised handwritten card in my room with a welcome gift of water, juice and snacks. The Duty Manager Zac welcomed me with a smile and looked after me during my three day stay for work. I spoke with Zac to tell him that my room did not have a hairdryer, and he personally delivered a brand new one to my room within 10 minutes. I had trouble with the smart TV in my room and he organised for that to be solved while I was out. Thank you very much Zac and other staff.
