Verdi Budapest Aquincum

We had an absolutely incredible experience during our stay. Best was the swimming pool area. The surroundings were stunning, with breathtaking scenery that left us in awe. Every aspect of the resort was meticulously organized, creating a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. We especially enjoyed the expansive pool area, which was perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly; it truly made our visit unforgettable!

The rooms were a little dingy and some mould and stains on grout, true to what other reviewers mentioned. However, apart from wear and tear, the hotel has tried to keep it clean and serviceable. Overall, it felt well loved, but was clearly a shadow of its past glory. Needs some tlc and a lot of refurbishment. The gantry doesn’t work, so you must walk out to the gantry to meet your cab. However staff were inordinately helpful and kind at the front desk. The breakfast was incredibly varied and delicious. Room was spacious - with every convenience, fridge, tv, iron. Only problem is no main heater in the bedroom - so it got chilly quite fast. Anyway I would stay again next time when in Budapest, the location has good access to tram line and the staff are kind.

I’m writing to share an incredibly disappointing and disturbing experience at this hotel. We booked two rooms—one for my husband and me, and one for my over 70-year-old mother and other family members. First, we were given a room that had someone else’s belongings inside. Then the replacement room was under renovation, with tools and a trolley left in it. After all this, the most shocking part happened: two unknown people entered my mother’s room while she was alone. She was terrified. When we told the manager, Mr. Mohammad, he admitted the people were not hotel staff—but instead of taking real responsibility, he told us to cancel that room if we weren’t happy. This was incredibly irresponsible—especially since we were traveling as a family and couldn’t just split up or find another hotel at a moment’s notice. What’s worse, it turned out there was another room available—discovered and arranged later by a young female staff member, not the manager. It was clear he didn’t even know what was available and still told us to cancel. This experience left us feeling unsafe, frustrated, and deeply disappointed. Please think carefully before booking this hotel.

This hotel was clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had lunch at The River Bar which was reasonably priced and the food was good, / We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that. The room was clean, slightly dated but had everything you needed. The Spa was clean, would recommend to bring sliders/crocs as the floor in the swimming pool area was very slippy, although the hotel does provide a robe and slippers. One of the saunas was out of action but they had other ones available to use. In terms of location it is slightly out of the way, which was nice as it was quiet. We got a taxi and used the tram to get to the city centre which was fairly simple. Overall very good value to stay here and very good that the spa facilities is included at no extra fee. I loved my stay at this Hotel. Really good breakfast with plenty of choice and everything tasted delicious! Room was big despite me staying in a classic room. Clean and tidy with great amenities like fridge, tea, coffee kettle, hairdryer, safe plus robe and slippers for the spa. Loved the spa with thermal pools, swimming pool, sauna, steamroom and chiquzzi. So relaxing Worth every penny and got So much more for my money Location is terrific only 2 mins away to public transport. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely come here again. Budapest beautiful place. Also if you want to try local Hungarian restaurant..only 2mins away from Verdi Budapest Aquincum I highly suggest Csalánosi Csárda Óbuda. Delicious food!!

The location is too remote, plus asked the front desk to clean and did not clean, really very speechless, and the room's shower is broken, has been leaking, plus there is no water outlet in the bathroom, the bath water can not be drained away, the whole bathroom is wet
