The hotel was well positioned close to St Stephen’s Basilica, with all local amenities on the doorstep including a Lidl supermarket around the corner, plus restaurants and bars in short walking distance. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were basic and even double beds were actually two single beds together but reasonably comfortable, the rooms were also pretty compact with an open plan bathroom with a curtain. For our weekend away it was fine and for me personally I got it at a reduced price booking last minute but others paid a lot more, so for similar price I would personally prefer some of the 4 star hotels located closed by. The breakfast was included which is a bonus, and had a selection of hot/cold food/drinks, served until 10.30am, and you can order a packed breakfast, it was basic but something for everyone. Also there is scaffolding outside of the hotel, so may not be as easy to see the name for when you first arrive.
This small hotel is in a great location. Take the 100e bus from the airport and walk to Darwin Square in 5 minutes. You can basically walk to the street. The hotel is in a very quiet location, far from the main road. It's quite comfortable. The breakfast in the hotel is also very rich. I highly recommend having a breakfast in the hotel for 12 euros. The room is also clean and comfortable. Anyway, I'm quite satisfied.
Good location very close to the Parlament building and Margaret bridge areas. The staff were helpful and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. A quiet location for sleeping at night. A fridge is included in the room but there is no complimentary bottles of water so you will need to buy your own. Breakfast was not included in the price and, if required, will cost 15€ per day. Overall, good value and a comfortable base for sightseeing around the Parliament and Danube area. This hotel is recommended.

The room was very clean. I would add something like kettle to make tea/coffee in the room, but not so critical. Bathroom was also clean, however, the shower cabin is too small and the door part of the cabin is missing, there is a curtain over there. Anyway, perfect for its price/quality/location.
I have stayed at this hotel several times before, and is my ”go to” hotel in Budapest. On this occasion I was not able to stay at the hotel because of an urgent business issue requiring me to fly to Frankfurt immediately. The staff were excellent in helping me reschedule my pick up for the airport transfer, as well as allowing me access to the room (it was a none refundable booking) several hours before the 3pm check in time so I could have a couple of hours rest and much needed shower after an overnight flight. The understanding and help shown by the staff was outstanding and much appreciated. Definitely this will continue to be my ”go to” hotel in Budapest.
The location is good but the hotel itself is located above the club which makes it quite a noisy and not so comfortable place to stay. The room lacked a lot of facilities such as shampoo and bathing stuff as well as the hair dryer, towels were not enough etc. In all it was decent. Nice view from our hotel room too
Located at the prime location, everything is perfect..Atms,cafes,eateries are surrounding..Metro station is just around the corner.Walkable to Vaci Street/Central Hall Market.Staff are helpful and welcoming..I booked a twin single room and did not expect i get extra bed for my daughter. We were 2 adult and 1 child and i really appreciate that.Stayed for 4 days 3 nights and the sound from the street never bother us at all.I enjoyed looking out the balcony. The buffet breakfast are the same menu everyday but i love the variety and my hot cappucino, milk and juices..I would recommend this hotel to other people and i would stay here again when i come to Budapest..

Hotel President Budapest exceeded all my expectations! The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, making for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. The breakfast selection was outstanding, offering a wide variety of options that catered to all tastes, and everything I tried was delicious and fresh. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional—they were incredibly warm, accommodating, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect.
The hotel’s location is another highlight. It is within walking distance of major landmarks like The Parliament and St. Stephen’s Basilica, making it a perfect base for exploring Budapest. There are also many great restaurants and other tourist spots nearby, making it easy to enjoy the city without the hassle of long commutes. I highly recommend this hotel for its quality and convenience!
Stayed during the week, the location and hygiene are good, the price/performance ratio is good, the breakfast is filling, no need to ask for variety, after all, it is cheap. The disappointing part is that there is no kettle, so no hot or cold water to drink.
friendly reception
Breakfast was a little disappointing, but it was good because it was close to the supermarket. The long doors that open at the top and bottom of the room were also unique. It was a good size compared to European hotels.

AAnonymous UserI booked a Ctrip beggar’s version room and spent money to upgrade.
It is recommended to book a street view room with windows that can be opened.
The details of the room are pretty good. I forgot to take a photo. It’s the same as the picture online.
The service at the door is like this. After tipping, you will be replaced...
The front desk is quite helpful, but the quality of the doorman needs to be improved.
The restaurant is good and there is sparking wine freeflow for breakfast…

Great
GGuest UserSuper busy breakfast peoples were squeezed to take food and wait half an hour for an omelette as one chef had to deal with six orders at a time. Only one coffee machine. Seems no intention to improve. Rather arrogant chief chef but a very nice restaurant manager. However generally falls short of standards expected for a 5 star from hotel staff including reception and housekeeping. Positives are prime location with the gorgeous river and Buda Castle view. Very nice gym by the way!

TTAICHI_URALocated in the city central and good access to tourist attractions and restaurants. 3 mins walk from metro station (M3 line) and less than 10 mins walk to the parliament along the Danube river. Hotel stuffs are nice and friendly. I would stay this hotel if I will visit. Budapest again!

The breakfast at weekend is outstanding with sparkling wine. Weekday breakfast serves similar stuff but no sparkling wine. The quality is excellent!

GGuest UserWe had a bit of average experience at the hotel. The location is great and staff is friendly but we were disappointed but they never address the issue that room was very hot and it was uncomfortable to sleep overnight. They acknowledged it is very hot and the only way to sleep is leave the window crack open which we did from 2nd night. I doubt they have switched on the central air conditioning and blame it on the technical issue. Our late check-in was good and the guy at reception was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was average- the pastry and croissant was dry, the boiled egg was cold and the coffee from machine was not great. I really appreciate such hotel which rate them 4 star provide good and hearty breakfast atleast.

GGuest UserGreat central location and friendly staff, however, the hotel or surrounding buildings were undergoing some renovation and there was an incessant low humming every night that made it quite difficult to sleep. Breakfast buffet was standard, there were limited choices of pastries and yogurts.

Llenon530I highly recommend this hotel. It is located right next to the Danube River and only a 1-minute walk to Vaci Street, making it very convenient to get around. Although the overall facilities and decoration are relatively old, it is very comfortable, and the various services and room cleaning are also timely. The price is very competitive, so we canceled our Aiabnb and moved here.
