The best part of the stay was the service of the staff. They helped us with our luggage, fixed the washing machine once we reported it wasn’t working, helped us boil hot water to throw in the air. That was the saving grace of the hotel.
The bad part of the stay was the room view wasn’t great, you look out of the window and you see other wooden cabins, so not much of the mountain and the room is quite small. The breakfast option was terrible as you have to walk to a nearby restaurant for food and they only give you one option of tomato egg noodles and that was it. They said because it is winter so there is no option. For the amount you pay for the hotel, the room and poor option for breakfast is really not value for money.
Not sure why the reviews are great for this hotel.

One of the best accommodations we stayed at this trip. This was a really new 民宿 & the exterior gardens were not planted yet. The room was immaculately decorated. Really love the design of the room. The bathtub was huge & wonderful to use. There was also a sauna room which we sadly didn't utilize fully as it took too long to heat up. Perhaps better instructions could have been posted on how to operate the sauna. We had to leave early the next day & we were given breakfast vouchers to use at an adjacent restaurant for a nice breakfast. Friendly & helpful staff. it was also conveniently located in the main area of the village but far away enough for peace & quiet. We had a great sleep that night.

This is the worst room I stayed in during my visit to Hemu. The room facilities are not good. Everything is broken and the experience is very bad. The wooden floor and toilet are broken. It feels very cheap. I didn't even have afternoon tea.
