Taiyue Hotel ★★★

📍 No. 30-9 Shenhu Road, Burqin

"This was the worst place I stayed on the Northern Xinjiang Grand Loop. It was right on the street with terrible soundproofing, and the breakfast selection was extremely limited. However, the town itself was quite nice, so I'd recommend staying overnight in Burqin if you're transiting through the area."

Mystic Lake Grand Hotel ★★★★
"I hesitated a bit when booking this hotel because it's an older establishment, and I was worried about potential issues. However, the actual stay exceeded my expectations. Although it's an older hotel, the room was newly renovated. The USB ports by the bed, the mattress firmness, the room size, and the staff's attitude all made this hotel worthy of a four-star rating—extremely high value for money. The only minor flaw was the carpet in the hallway leading to the rooms; it still had that old-hotel smell. Replacing it would have been a huge improvement. So, if you don't mind the hallway carpet and are looking for high value, this hotel is a great choice."

Nightlight Town HOTEL ★★★★
"Good location, close to shops, restaurants and the landmark of Burqin - the 'London Bridge'. The room was clean and comfortable. I was given a huge spacious corner room. Check in was great by friendly staffs. There were free snacks and drinks in the refrigerator in the room. Also, I was given a free goodie bag during check-out. However, the laundry room has no proper queue system on first come first serve basis. There was tendency of cutting queue by some hotel guests, so we have to direct them to queue for their turn. Another downside, no safe deposit box in the room. My room air conditioner was not cold enough and the room has slightly poor soundproofing."

"The room smelled bad, and it was located near the street. I was woken up very early by music, and there were cats fighting late at night. I was so angry while taking a shower at night that I almost fainted. The shower was either too hot or completely cold; a five-minute shower felt like a fight."
