Cleanliness: Very clean, with disposable toilet seat covers and slippers provided.
Environment: The 5th floor offers a fantastic view of the 'golden mountain' (sunrise over the snow peaks) 😌. I even took photos with fellow guests watching the snow mountains.
Service: Proactive shuttle service to/from the station, and they thoughtfully informed us of the 'golden mountain' sunrise time for the next day, advising against showering or washing hair.

"I only discovered this hotel on my last day in Yubeng. When I visited two or three years ago, I asked around and found out it was newly opened.
It's absolutely fantastic! So far, this is the best experience I've had on my Yunnan trip.
The service is incredibly professional and well-mannered. You can tell they've received professional training. The room location is also excellent, with great views, and it's extremely clean. See pictures for details.
I highly recommend everyone visiting Yubeng to experience this place! It's called Yu Shan.
Next time I come to Yubeng, I will only choose this hotel."

"A new hotel in Wunongding, opened in 2025. I've stayed at other hotels in Dalezhiye before (in Qiandao Lake and Zhongwei), but I was a bit disappointed with the Dalezhiye in Wunongding.
The hotel is in a good location, about a two-minute walk from the Wunongding Observation Deck. The interior design is nice, and the rooms are clean, but there are a few shortcomings. First, the elevator was broken on check-in day. My room was on the second floor, so I had to walk up. The observation deck and rest area are both on the fourth floor. Because of the altitude, the walk up and down was a bit breathless. They said it would be repaired that evening, but it wasn't. Second, there's a construction site and a large tree right in front of the hotel, which obstructs the view of the snow-capped mountains from the hotel, slightly imperfecting the view. Third, as a new hotel opened in 2025, the rooms inevitably have a slightly renovated feel. Fourth, the laundry service was a bit chaotic. I was given two bags of laundry, but only one was returned. I only found the second bag after reporting it. Furthermore, the laundry was stuffed directly into the bag, leaving my T-shirts and shirts very wrinkled. In fact, the overall stay was okay, all the necessary services were provided, and the service attitude was also good, but some details were not handled well, which detracted from the impression. I hope that it can be improved in the future."

"At first, I compared many places online, and finally I saw a B&B that allowed cooking and had a fireplace. After the phone consultation, the reservation was made.
The real thing is more beautiful than the photo. The room is very high-end and it is very comfortable to lie in. The price is quite affordable, it is really a very cost-effective homestay. The store manager is very nice and provides fruits, snacks and beer. We bought groceries, cooked, and then ate, drank, sang, and chatted together. The fireplace especially created a lot of atmosphere and was perfect for taking photos.
What’s even more interesting is that the password box was broken, and we finally found the store manager who patiently found the tools to help us open it.
The whole stay process was particularly pleasant and reassuring. The layout of the room is also a style I like very much. It is very simple and fresh. All kinds of facilities are available, and the hygiene is even more meticulous. It is a very satisfactory stay experience. Recommended! ! ! !

"A Truly Unforgettable Stay – Highly Recommended!
This is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in China. The room was incredibly spacious, and the hospitality from the reception team was outstanding. Every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.
One of the highlights is the Wunongding Observation Deck, located right in front of the hotel — offering breathtaking views just steps from our door.
The hotel also provides complimentary afternoon tea via room service, beautifully presented and served by a polite and gracious young lady, 达瓦取宗. It was a lovely touch that made us feel very pampered.
In the evening, we enjoyed red wine and biscuits at the rooftop bar, where we had a delightful experience hosted by Mr. 唐浩东. The atmosphere, views, and service combined to create a memorable night.
During check-out, my brother was feeling unwell due to the high altitude. A kind staff member named 挣白 prepared a special tea for us to help ease the symptoms. His thoughtfulness and care truly touched us and made a noticeable difference.
Every staff member we encountered was genuinely helpful and warm. We felt cared for every moment of our stay.
If we ever have the chance, we would absolutely love to return. Highly recommended!"

The hotel is located at the most beautiful fog top observation deck in Meili Snow Mountain, which not only can enjoy the panoramic view of the thirteen peaks of Prince in Meili Snow Mountain, but also overlooks Biluo Snow Mountain, Baima Snow Mountain and Lancang River Valley. There are many types of rooms in the hotel, all of which are equipped with floor heating and anti-high reaction oxygen concentrators, which can be inhaled by nasal tube, and you can see the whole picture of Meili Snow Mountain when you open the curtains. There is a courtyard dam outside, drinking and singing around the fireplace, and there is an Indian super large tent, eating afternoon tea, lying on the lawn, waiting for the sunrise and sunset. We also have a free sightseeing bus service to take you to the foggy top village------- a tree on the net red ------- the foggy top thirteen white pagoda observation deck.
"Facing directly towards Meili Snow Mountain, the view from the window is absolutely stunning. Sitting on the windowsill, you can witness the snow-capped mountains, sea of clouds, sunrise, and sunset all unfolding in turn – the view is expansive and unobstructed, every snapshot a masterpiece.
The receptionist kindly helped with my luggage, and the afternoon tea was plentiful. Enjoying fruit and tea while gazing at the ever-changing light and shadow on the snow-capped mountains from the viewing platform – this is what a vacation should be!
Mid-August evenings can be a bit chilly, but the room has underfloor heating and electric blankets, keeping the room and bed warm and cozy. The hotel offers lunch and dinner.

Being able to witness the mountains change from the soft hues of dawn to the deep colors of dusk right from my bed – this experience is truly beyond words; it's something you simply have to experience to truly understand!

"This was the most satisfying guesthouse I stayed at during my Shangri-La trip. From booking to check-in, the butler's thoughtful pick-up and drop-off service was impeccable. The guesthouse was warm and welcoming, and its overall style was very sophisticated. Especially beautiful was the view when the morning sun came in. "I originally booked the hotel for the beautiful view of the snow-capped mountains, but I unexpectedly unlocked a lot of surprises! As soon as I opened the door, I was shocked by the terrace facing the snow-capped mountains. The pure white snow tops glowed silver in the sun, and the healing power was full! What's even more surprising is the hotel's rich activity experience: ******* rubbings, handmade ******* incense, tea brewing around the stove and other activities. They even provide ******* clothes, and you can ask the housekeeper in the store to help take pictures. It's really too photogenic~ The room is equipped with floor heating, humidifiers, and smart toilets. There are also rich mini bar snacks and drinks. I have to say that the room also provides free facial masks. The staff is warm and thoughtful. I also received souvenirs when I left the hotel. This is not only an accommodation, but also an immersive snow-covered cultural journey. Highly recommended!"

ZZhaoziyangMore attention should be paid to guest convenience during their stay. The two steps inside the room were unnecessary and quite inconvenient. The evening set menu was quite mediocre. But the most unacceptable thing was the breakfast setup where they were individually pan-frying prawns. Not only did hardly anyone eat them, but the entire dining area was filled with the smell of fried prawns. The cooking fumes then spread throughout the hallways, and we could even smell it distinctly in our 5th-floor room. Even after we checked out and drove away, the smell of those cooking fumes seemed to cling to us for the entire journey. The hotel's design and ambiance were lovely, but our overall stay experience was completely marred by the pervasive cooking fumes from breakfast!

DDadadashitouFacilities: The hotel has been open for a while, so the hardware is quite a bit outdated. The faucet in the bathroom was broken, but still somewhat usable. Overall, it was acceptable.
Hygiene: Although the hotel facilities are older, the hygiene was excellent, and many facilities were well-maintained.
Environment: The hotel's location offers an absolutely prime view of Meili Snow Mountain. You can enjoy the snowy peaks right from your room's balcony, no need to even go down to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. For this advantage alone, I highly recommend this hotel!
Service: A butler contacted us before check-in, and we received welcome fruit upon arrival. Since it was the Mid-Autumn Festival during our stay, they also gave us mooncakes and flower cakes. When checking out, we even received a custom gift from the hotel.

AAnonymous UserHands down the most satisfying hotel on our Yunnan trip. Both the service and the indoor and outdoor environment were absolutely impeccable.
The service quality was on par with any five-star hotel in mainland China. The personalized butler service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. They offer pick-up and drop-off services for guests, and organize daily entertainment activities within the hotel, such as Wei Sang rituals and fireworks displays. Breakfast can be delivered to your room, and they proactively inquire about guests' preferences for late-night snacks. Every single staff member was incredibly polite and friendly, and even the hotel's resident dog was exceptionally well-behaved.
As for the environment, you can enjoy stunning views of the sun-kissed golden mountains right from your bed in the guestroom. The views and lighting from the rooftop café and observation deck were absolutely stunning; every picture is postcard-perfect. They even provide phone stands on the guest room balconies, making it incredibly convenient for guests to take photos.

The rooftop terrace offers views just as spectacular as those from the Feilai Temple viewing platform! They even provide free phone/camera tripods for guests to use.
Breakfast is personally prepared by the owner and is incredibly delicious!
The owner has also written a book about the past of Meili, recounting his and his companions' stories with the snow-capped mountains. I highly recommend reading it during your stay! The book is placed right by the bedside.

QqnrichUpon arrival, a friendly staff member immediately helped us with our luggage. She was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions, and personally showed us to our room. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. She also took the time to thoroughly explain how to use the in-room oxygen system. We had a really great experience. While breakfast was a set meal, it was simple yet nutritious. The hotel is also conveniently located quite close to the viewing platform.

AAhranThis is the very hostel that I would highly recommend to anyone who goes to Yubeng. Clean and comfy bed, quality amenities, kind and informative staff (* Jasmin, you are amazing!), wonderful common area where you would surely want to sit down and stay for a while over a cup of coffee or tea. They serve breakfast, the best Mixian with fried egg, which cost you only $30.
The upper Yubeng is reachable in about 30-45 minutes, so in case you plan to explore both lower and upper Yubeng as most people do, I would recommend that you stay at this hostel for 2 nights instead of finding another one in the upper Yubeng. It is that good.

GGuest UserThis room is rather pricy for what it offers. Rather basic room and toilet. There is a humidifier and a small room heater which doesn’t really help in the middle of winter. However to our surprise, the bed is electrically heated and works very well and extremely useful in the wintry cold. Location is not too bad as there are many restaurants nearby and the mountain sunrise viewing deck area is maybe within 200m away. Please checkout the Sichuan restaurant just opposite the hotel which would also be recommended by the hotel staff as the food is affordable and extremely delicious. Speaking of the staff, the staff was not at the front desk at check in however he did respond quickly via WeChat. His attitude is bad as though we owed him a living.
