Intercontinental Hotel & Resorts properties in Cairo

To date, it remains a grand old lady of Cairo's hotel scene, favoured by older generations but competitors are catching up fast. The hotel needs to modernise, although some guest might like the old world decor. The rooms were comfortable, basic amenities are provided which in Cairo is considered a luxury and most rooms have a balcony. Along with decor, staff attitude towards customers need to improve. There is a bit of arrogance about them. The prices are extremely high, but to be fair all the branded Western hotels carry a huge premium. Around $150 per night offers a poor value for money.

I booked this hotel for my last night as a layover before heading to the airport, and it actually exceeded my expectations. It was super convenient to get to City Stars mall from the hotel. Even though Google Maps said the mall closed at 10 PM, a lot of the restaurants inside stayed open much later, so you can definitely grab a bite to eat there.
