Estival Centurión Playa

Quiet and calm location. Great breakfast!

My partner and I stayed at this hotel in June. On the surface, all seemed fine. However, once Friday arrived, to 'coin a phrase', all hell broke loose. If I may explain ; the Estival Centurion has a beach bar/restaurant situated yards from the hotel. It is quite busy in the day and, you would assume, would be locked up at closing time, but no, it is left totally open. The seats, the seating-area, tables, all left open to whoever. So, come Friday night, local youth congregate at this bar, and an explosion of noise erupts.Deafening shouting, music, fireworks, I even saw a fire lit on the beach. This goes on until the very early hours of the next morning, and this behaviour is repeated over the weekend nights. Sleep impossible. Stay ruined. The hotel are, no doubt, aware this goes on, but seem happy to let it continue. Otherwise, they would lock down the beach bar at closing time. On another topic, whilst leaning over the balcony one morning, I saw a rat emerge from, possibly, the side of the hotel. To compound this horror, a magpie then flew down and began attacking the rat, pecking away at it, until its demise. A most unpleasant sight. Food was adequate. Staff fairly pleasant.

What a lovely place to just relax! Had a great time Hotel is very clean. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room we had was a standard double and was sapacious enough for the two of us, also for those that have mentioned before found quite a few English TV stations. I would say also bring your own teabags and there is a shop across the road to buy milk.(there is a fridge in room) Although teabags supplied wasn't the same though thats just personal preference. Beds were very comfortable and balcony was a good size to sit out on. Food - Can NOT complain about the food at all! Lots of choice and different theme each night everything we had we loved! and I have a hubby who's a very fussy eater and he found lots of things he could eat. Lots of pasta's grilled meats even a pizza station. Breakfast was the same lots of choice fruits, cooked breakfast, cereals and freshley baked on site pastries..Yum! Pool area although not large was very nice and relaxed. Never had to fight for a bed. Plenty of shaded areas too which quite a few families made the most of. If it's SUN you require the beach across the pathway had loads of beds too you could hire 10Euro each with shade if required all day until 7pm. There are NO inflateables allowed in pool but pool noodles were ok. But considering size of pool not really surprised. Area is very pretty and you can buy a T-10 bus ticket across the road for 10 Euros for 10 rides, takes 5 mins on bus into Cambrils well worth a visit. Lovely town lots of restuarants shops and bars.

Fantastic hotel for a lovely chilled out holiday. Location was excellent walk or bus into Cambrills or Salou. Hotel was spotlessly clean food was excellent bar staff fantastic especially Nolan and Oscar but also every member of staff were very helpful. I will definitely go back

We have come to Spain for 30 years and spent our holidays in many beach hotels. Estival Centurion Playa is really one of the best ones of many aspects. Hotel service and booking the stay was perfect, many thanks to Mrs. Rubay and the reception staff for managing of our booking and arrival. Cleanliness in the room and everywhere is perfect ( maid Mrs Judith). Variety and quality of food is outstanding, the waitresses are not only professional, but also very nice, friendly and helpfull ( Ms Dita, Elena, Yordanka, Mr. Biel). Location of the hotel is excellent, just on the beach, with the bus stop just in front of the hotel. You can visit Salou, the centre of Cambrils, Reus with museum of Gaudí, Tarragona, the nearest airports, Barcelona by bus.
