21 Nettleton Boutique Hotel & Luxury Residence

My fiancé and I spent 7 nights at 21 Nettleton and were wowed by our entire experience. The location at the top of Clifton has the best views in Cape Town overlooking Clifton Beach, Camps Bay, and the 12 Apostles with unobstructed views. The butler service is exceptional. They are quickly responsive to all requests that guests send through the in-room iPad, and you are given a WhatsApp contact to make requests when you are off-premises. The staff made an effort to get to know our preferences -- as an example after we had ordered Coke Zeros a few times the butler offered to swap out all the regular Cokes in our complimentary minibar for Coke Zeros. We would also highlight the hotel’s concierge capabilities (we loved Nathan!), they arranged massages, a private yoga class, and a private hiking guide, and all were very high quality. Last shoutout to the chef’s signature homemade berry crumble, one of the best desserts we’ve ever had!

From the moment we were picked up at the airport we experienced the most amazing service. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Nathan helped us make the most of our time in Cape Town and I’d recommend hiring the car and knowledgable guide (Shack) for the day. Our suite - Queen - had the best view of anywhere we’ve stayed before. Dinner, breakfast and afternoon canapés were delicious. Black Ubers were always close by and easy to get you into the centre. Recommendations for dinner / bars were spot on. We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend it highly enough. We felt like royalty!

We loved every bit of our stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The location was perfect and the views were nothing short of spectacular with all the Clifton beaches in site. We loved the fact that we could hear the ocean while lying by the pool. It was also convenient to hike lions head right from our doorstep. This is our second time visiting this hotel, this time we took the airbnb option and were still able to add breakfast onto our stay. We cannot wait to return!!

We stayed for 5 nights at the apartment of the 21 Nettleton and were overwhelmed by the stunning views and beauty of the apartment and hotel. Dirk, Nathan and the whole team were super kind and made our stay unforgettable. We would definitely recommend staying there and would absolutely love to come back. Words are inadequate to describe this hotel but I’ll try! Tranquil, stunning, intimate, personal, full of character. The personal attention and dedication to service was at an extraordinarily high level. House Manager Nathan was on a mission to ensure our every need was taken care of. Sonny drove us wherever we needed to be - he was reliable, affable and a total delight. Sonny by name and disposition! And Chef Ronald went out of his way to cook us a private dinner which was out of this world. He also ensured our dietary requirements were met superbly. Tekee and Slendo also helped us at the hotel and we are grateful for all they did for us. The hotel is perched at the top of the hill overlooking the sea and conveniently located. Our room was luxurious, large, well maintained and had a view that was simply magnificent. The hotel feels like your staying in someone’s beautiful home, rather than a corporate hotel. The lounge area was chic, intimate and inviting. The garden has the best views and small pool where we relaxed listening to the sea and birds. A total delight. In summary, 21 Nettleton is the hotel to come to if you want tranquility, peace, rest, luxury and outstanding customer service. My wife and I can’t recommend it strongly enough.

21 Nettleton is pure magic. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from a small boutique hotel as I’ve never had such an experience before and there weren’t a ton of detailed reviews. I found 21 Nettleton on Instagram and couldn’t pass up staying in a place that looked so stunning in pictures. We stayed here for our honeymoon for 4 nights and I was truly blown away. With only 6 rooms (12 guests maximum) the intimacy is unmatched. The staff knows you well. They know what you like and how you like it after only 1 day of being there. The views are so beyond spectacular. My jaw was on the floor when we were given a tour on arrival. The 21 Nettleton team went above and beyond for us. After a nightmare travel experience we ended up arriving over 12 hours later than initially planned which was the day after our planned check in. 21 Nettleton moved our reservation back one day so we could still enjoy all 4 days that we paid for AND they upgraded us to the presidential suite on the top floor which is the most unbelievable room I’ve ever stayed in and probably will ever stay in. It’s massive (at least triple the size of my NYC apartment) with wrap around views of the entire coast. I genuinely couldn’t believe how kind and accommodating they were given our situation. The 21 Nettleton team truly takes care of you. We had a driver for every night we were there who waited on site for us to finish up dinner/drinks and would then take us wherever we wanted to go. Not to mention the car they provide is insanely luxurious. Our driver Sani was incredible, attentive, and so kind. We spent a lot of time with Nathan and Utti as well who were so personable and couldn’t do enough for us. We had a private dinner on our first night which was incredibly delicious. They paired the meal with a local Chardonnay which was phenomenal. Such a beautiful experience with such wonderful attention to detail. Thank you 21 Nettleton for making our honeymoon dreams come true. I rarely return to a place when I travel because there is so much of the world to see but I will be back to 21 Nettleton.
