The website for this property is misleading. It suggests a mountain lodge and spa, however there are no spa facilities on site. There is no sauna, or jacuzzi, or massage studio. Therapists can be phoned to treat you in your room. The 'cuisine' category lists an array of breakfast foods - cold meats, cheeses, fresh baked bread - which were not on offer during our 6 night stay. Nor were the evening meals. The food photographs are not honest. The swimming pool was not heated.

Our host helped us out on very short notice after our last accommodation booking went array. We even had an unavoidable late check-in which put them out a bit. The unit is in a lovely quiet leafy suburb. Would certainly recommend.

Sacred Mountain was the perfect choice for our intimate wedding ceremony and reception of 20 guests. The garden setting is just gorgeous and at night, the fairy lights just transform it. One of the reasons we chose this venue was because Sam was happy to accommodate our unique Asian themed menu requests and every single canapé/starter/main was delicious, we’ve had so many compliments since. The service we received even being a small group was fantastic. Thank you again Samantha and team, we truly appreciate every bit of effort that went into making our wedding so special.

I was part of a delegation of school chaplains hosted by Sacred Mountain. Samantha, Lovemore and the rest of the team attended to our every need. Food was superb and their welcoming hospitality heart warming. The Noordhoek Common is a quick walk away and offers spectacular views of the mountain. Highly recommended.

We ended our stay after 1 night - very misleading, cleanliness is not a priority and your general stay will be uncomfortable. When opening the duvet, a fish moth came out of it, the cutlery and crockery were dirty, bathroom was dirty and couch was broken. We booked this place because my gran had just come out of surgery and it was so unhygienic and she got stuck in the broken couch. Spent my evening rewashing dishes and we did not order breakfast because if the rooms were in that state, I would not want to see their kitchens. It is treated as a personal residence, with big dogs bounding on you and teenagers playing rugby late at night outside your room. Samantha also won’t give you a refund. Literally stay anywhere else and save your money.

Hi Samantha Thank you for organising our massage therapists on the day of our arrival. I did mention in the “Special Request” field on the booking form that I wanted more info about the spa treatments the day I booked the room. I heard nothing about that until I called you on the day. It pains me to bring some things to your attention that I found unacceptable at a Bed and Breakfast boasting the title of “Lodge”, in the hopes that you can improve your establishment and its service. Concerns: 1. It may have been better to set up the massage in our room, the Clydesdale suite. The Vine was dishevelled and not conducive to a relaxing time. Our therapists did their best with what they had. 2. The Clydesdale suite does not have a working fireplace. Your website boasts a fireplace on the first picture of the room. It was the reason I chose that room. It’s winter. The room was colder inside than outside. That is unacceptable. The heater supplied, in my opinion, was a poor compensation for such a large ice cold room. I would suggest to either fix the fireplace, seal it up or remove the picture from your website. 3. We ran out of hot water halfway into our shower last night and this morning. The water was not that hot to begin with. Good Points 1. The room was large and clean 2. The bed was large and comfortable. 3. You and the Lovemore were friendly and inviting.

Acorn Cottage was the perfect little self-catering unit at the Sacred Mountain Lodge! Clean, well equipped and stunning location, I would recommend this lodge of anyone visiting Cape Town (and Noordhoek) for business or pleasure.
