2-Star Hotels in Caribou

I came to stay a week ago I personaly like the friendly staff and the layout of the place. Everything is very easily accessible to everyone including handicap too. It's close to all businesses in the downtown caribou area. Has a great work out and excersize room. On a scale from 1 to 10 I rate the place 9 or better. It's the MGM of Maine

January 2022 visit: Several hairs found inside a supposed clean shower upon arrival. Water pressure in shower tub was almost nonexistent; the water flow was more like a trickle. To reach the lobby area from your room, you had to pass through a corridor of guest SMOKING ROOMS making it almost impossible to breathe in the hallway, although the Caribou Inn had signs saying smoking was prohibited in the hotel public areas. Breakfast seating and serving wait was over an hour; the entrees were greasy to say the least, and the toast had so much butter put on the slices when they arrived at our group table, you could have squeezed the butter out of the toast, much like squeezing water out of a sponge. The sofa couch mattress was so old and used, it no longer provided any comfort; in fact, one guest in our party said “you could feel the springs poking in your back while trying to sleep”. The walls were so thin, you could hear guests in the adjoining rooms urinate in their toilets, and some sounds, which apparently other guests having sexual activity, was clearly audible. I read several of the “positive” reviews, but clearly there is a difference of opinion.
