Escape to The Hideaway, cabin tucked away on the hillside just 30 minutes outside Waco, Texas. This tiny home offers a fully appointed interior living space as well as a soft-sided hot tub (year round), deck, and fire pit for enjoying the natural beauty of hillside views and night stars. The Hideaway offers seclusion while still being close to the cute Texas town of Valley Mills, offering the best of both worlds. The Hideaway is outfitted for two guests, though you could possibly include one or two others (e.g., child) if you're willing to be flexible. Let us know if you're considering that option. If you are looking for a larger group experience, there are two other cabins on the property that could accommodate more adults. Send an inquiry to find out availability and more details. The space:* Outdoor Bliss: Take in the Hill Country views from the spacious outside deck or relax in the private hot tub.* Grill master: Grill up your favorite bbq on the 4 burner propane grill on the elevated deck. * Campfire Stories: Cozy up around the fire pit for unforgettable evenings.* Kitchenette: The tiny home features a convenient kitchenette with a stocked Keurig, 2 burner propane stovetop, toaster oven, mini fridge, essential dishes, flatware, and salt, pepper, and sugar. * Comfy Living: Enjoy a comfortable shower, a small fold up/down dining table/work station, TV, internet, queen foam matteress, and ample natural light. * Heat/Cool: Stay comfortable year-round with air-conditioning and heat.Local Attractions:* Discover the Valley Mills Vineyard, a hidden gem for wine enthusiasts.* Savor mouthwatering bbq at Helberg Barbecue, just 15 minutes away.* Explore the charm of downtown Valley Mills with a few local shops, like Valley Brew Coffee, The Foundry, and Bebe's Back Porch and Barn (antiques).Extra Perks:* The Hillside Hideaway is located in the same town where Chip and Joanna Gaines film their TV shows in their renovated mill (tours available through www.Magnolia.com)* You're close enough to Waco (30 minutes away) to explore its attractions, but still come back to enjoy the small-town vibe and escape the hustle and bustle.Nearby Excursions:* Explore other local small towns outside of Valley Mills, including Crawford, McGregor, Clifton, Meridian, and Glen Rose, home to Dinosaur Valley State Park. Other important information: The cabin feels very rural, but it is located very close to town. This is an added bonus for feeling tucked away, but being close to in-town conveniences. Since it is located close to neighbors, it is common to sometimes hear neighbors and other street noise as you would in a neighborhood. The cabin is also located very close to a railroad track. This means that when the train comes through, along with nostalgic thoughts of westward expansion and romantic notions of seeing a train with loved ones pull into the station, guests will hear the train horn for around 15 to 20 seconds as it intermittently sounds when coming through the nearby railway crossing. Final note, it is likely you will see wildlife, especially deer. Please admire from a distance. No hunting is allowed on the property.About pets:No pets allowed.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Must inform when booking for host approval.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.
