The couple are very hospitable. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are made up every day. We had a great view of Chania. Tea and coffee on offer all day in the breakfast room. I booked with breakfast. We had a lovely time in Chania. We particularly liked the old town with it's little taverns and shops.

We came across the Akrotiri Hotel on a June Sunday evening when our flight to London Gatwick was postponed for two days. Our hosts warmly checked us in to our rooms at 10pm on arrival from the airport. Like many Crete hotels the hotel is traditionally family run where qualities of being welcomed in and providing local assistance made our flight cancellation fade away for the duration of our stay. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard, with linen changed daily. Breakfast was of good continental standard with local produce and freshly made bread. The balcony area at the front hotel provided lovely views of the Chania seafront. The rear garden had fruit trees and tortoises with the owner showing us having their breakfast. Chania town was a walk down the hill, with plenty of restaurants, available boat trips, beaches and shopping area with some lovely shops. One shop had centuries old building features visible through glass which could have been a museum if it wasn’t a shop.

I would highly recomend this hotel for anyone staying in Chania. The location is perfect, it is nice and quiet and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The owners are really kind and helpuful, they make the stay very pleasant. Akrotiri has one of the best views I have ever had at a hotel. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We will be back!

Stunning hotel with a breathtaking view, the managers Lena and Elia are two exceptional people, very helpful who recommend the nicest beaches. I must say that it deserves an extra star for the services it offers, I recommend it for a stay in Chania..

Akrotiri Chania hotel was a real discovery, one of the many wonderful surprises that the island of Crete reserved for us. The couple who own the hotel welcomed us as friends and not just customers and did everything they could to make us feel at home. The hotel is located on a hill, very convenient to both the city center and the airport and enjoys an enchanting view of the sea and the city of Chania. The rooms are very welcoming, spotlessly clean, equipped with air conditioning, wifi and equipped with bathroom kit, slippers, sewing set, bathrobes. Upon arrival, a welcome bottle of wine is provided in the room and every day the fridge is stocked with a bottle of water per person, free of charge. The rooms have very large terraces from which you can enjoy wonderful sunsets in a very relaxing atmosphere. At breakfast you can enjoy local products such as honey and yogurt, as well as the delicious donut prepared with a lot of love by the owner. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
