"The room didn't match the photos on the booking; they put us in a side building across the street with no elevator. The room smelled strongly of renovation or mold. It was extremely noisy at night, with loud noises outside until 3 or 4 AM, and continued until 6 or 7 AM with people using sledgehammers and chisels, presumably for renovations. If you're looking for a quiet, upscale hotel, don't be fooled by the photos. We originally booked three nights, but after negotiating with the hotel, we cancelled the last two nights—a very wise decision. A vacation isn't for suffering."

"Just returned after 7 nights B&B at this wonderful resort and can’t recommend enough… Travelled with friends as well and we were upgraded complimentary to a swim up room upon check-in - a fantastic start ☺️ All facilities are top class including service in all aspects. Breakfast fantastic as well - high quality and presentation every morning. The resort is located approx 5-8 min from Platanias which easily can be reached via bus stop just outside main entrance (EUR 2 / person each way) or Taxi (EUR 12 each way) One of the last days one of our friends had a medical issue which was handled top professional by the staff and management - THANK YOU once again We will definitely come back and book Myrion Resort next time we choose Chania as destination and can only recommend you to do the same - Don’t hesitate one second ! "The hotel is in Kasamos, very new, there are many restaurants around, the room is very clean, there are disposable shoes, toothbrushes, toiletries. The hotel is not big, breakfast has some Greek characteristics early, each person can order a special cup of coffee every day, in addition, the hotel has free beach umbrellas and towels, go to the surrounding balos or elafonnissi beach can be used, but it is recommended to borrow a beach towel, the beach umbrella is more tasteless, You can rent a group of umbrellas directly on the beach, usually 20 euros a day, two lounge chairs. The hotel staff is very enthusiastic and wants to buy medicine temporarily, but I am not sure which pharmacy is driving on the weekend. The hotel's uncle rides a small motorcycle to help me see which one is driving, and then comes back to tell me. Stayed here for three days and will come back if you have a chance"

"I would highly recommend this hotel! We had a wonderful stay with a breathtaking sea view. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, and everything was spotlessly clean and well organized. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The outdoor pool was beautiful and very clean. The hotel is within walking distance of the Old Town, close to everything, and if you’re renting a car, there’s convenient parking available. The breakfast was simple but absolutely delicious, and the overall quality of everything exceeded our expectations. The jacuzzi was also clean, relaxing, and very enjoyable. A very good hotel to stay near Ganya, worth recommending. The only problem is that the hotel's own parking space needs to be booked in advance. If you don't book a nearby parking space, it will cost more than 20 euros per night."

"The welcome was really well organised and very friendly. They give you a little tour when you arrive and take you to your room, which is a nice touch and helps you settle in. The hotel is quite remote, but there are a few small shops and neighbouring restaurants close by that get you through. It’s good if you want to properly switch off — it kind of forces you to relax because there isn’t loads going on. A taxi to Platanias was €12, which was worth it for a change of scenery. We also went into Chania Old Town one evening, which cost €28 each way and was definitely worth it — lovely atmosphere, good food, and nice to have a wander somewhere busier. You can’t really walk to Platanias unless you’re happy with long country lanes, so taxis are needed. We walked the opposite way one day, which turns into a seafront path after about 20–25 minutes and has a few quiet restaurants and hotels. The lane outside the hotel gets quite dark at night, so take a phone torch. The food and drinks were probably the biggest let-down and stop it being a true 5-star. Breakfast – very limited hot food, and most of it just warm unless you have an omelette cooked fresh. Service could be hit and miss — a few times we had to chase coffee, and one morning they completely forgot us while we waited for a table. We ended up skipping breakfast a few days because it didn’t feel worth the effort. Lunch – also very limited, mostly salads and a couple of other options, so we went out most days. I love a dessert and very limited options with that too. We were only B&B thankfully, as other guests said the evening buffet was cold. The little restaurant Bossa Nova just down the road saved us — lovely food and great service. We went back a few times. You can order food and drinks to your sunbed which is a nice idea, but again, it’s the same small menu. Even things like smoothies don’t exist, so if you’re not drinking alcohol there isn’t much choice. We would have happily spent more money at lunch if there was a better range. Cocktails were normal hotel prices but nothing special, probably premixed. The pool is big and you don’t need to rush for sunbeds which are also really comfy. The towel lady is great fun. There was a DJ on Sunday which lifted the mood a bit — otherwise, it’s very quiet and everyone tends to keep to themselves. That’s good if you want peace, but it was nice to have a bit of music now and then. Evening entertainment exists but it’s extremely low key. We popped our heads in a few times but didn’t stay. The beach is right in front of the hotel and super convenient, though it could do with a bit of a tidy-up. Still, it’s easy to get to and we used it quite a bit. We had a pool-view room, which I’d definitely recommend — otherwise, you’ll be looking out at the car park. The left-hand side gets the sun in the morning, the right-hand side in the afternoon, if you like to follow the sun. The room was small with limited space to put things, but housekeeping was go"
