Chengdu Qingyang District Hotels

It was my very first experience with a Chinese hotel and I did enjoy my stay there a lot. It’s located in a pedestrian zone next to Wenshu monastery with a lot of food and shopping options nearby. In the night the area gets rather empty, so the guests should not worry about the street noise. Metro station is about 7-10 min away. I loved the traditional Chinese courtyard architecture of the hotel, the breakfast was nice, primarily Chinese with a couple of western food options as well. Quite appreciated the stuff, they were very helpful and spoke English fluently which is not always a default in China.

A familiar atmosphere instantly transported me back 21 years, to the very beginning of my career dreams. The 'Miss Dai' who was at the front desk and my contemporary back then has been replaced by younger, post-2000s faces. Yet, Wenjun Lou itself, with its genuine warmth and personal touch, remains unchanged. I'm grateful that in this restless era, places like Wenjun Lou and steadfast friendships help us remember our original intentions and stay true to our core beliefs. I promise, I'll be back to visit you often whenever I get the chance!

The room was exactly as pictured, boasting a very unique and stylish design. My two friends and I checked in, having originally booked a king room. The front desk staff proactively offered us the option to upgrade to a family room. After comparing, we decided the family room would be more comfortable for the three of us, so we paid to upgrade. The family room had excellent natural light and was very well-equipped. The laundry room, gym, and other facilities are all available 24/7. The only minor drawback was the lack of breakfast. However, our overall stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend it.

This hotel is a total steal for travelers! Its prime location offers easy access to nearby attractions. The front desk's handy DIY travel guide map is a lifesaver – you can follow it to avoid getting lost. The bright lobby feels cozy, and the staff's attentive service is a real plus. The best part? Don't miss out Huaxiting Seafood buffet dinner at 198 yuan, over 60 at 158 yuan. The hotel automatically sends you an electronic invoice when you check out, saving you the hassle of waiting. With such great value for money, I'll definitely stay here again!

Good location with lots of eateries surrounding. Bed is comfortable, you will be spoiled by the breakfast options. The only down side for us is the room temperature control during the weather change season. We are not able to tune to the temperature we wanted, it was centralised. So we felt a bit stuffy in the room, so we needed to open the window. But overall it is a satisfying experience.

The amenities are great, everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices to start the day right. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort and convenience!

Very cute little hotel with amazing service and a beautiful traditional Chinese courtyard. Quiet at night, clean. I would only point out that the twin rooms have transparent shower and toilets, a bit awkward when you’re traveling with friends.

You can always approach the front desk or the owner for any needs; their service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic. This place is very popular with foreign tourists, including families and groups, so accommodations get booked up quickly. Advance booking is definitely recommended, and it's best to communicate your group size and any specific needs to the owner beforehand. I always choose to stay here whenever I visit Chengdu. The beds are incredibly comfortable; the owner told me they were all replaced last year as part of a recent renovation. Consequently, amenities like the toilets, washing machines, and dryers are also brand new. They genuinely keep up with the times and prioritize their customers' needs – what's not to love about a place like that? I definitely hope to visit again.

Absolutely wonderful stay! This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. Everything was impeccably clean — from the rooms to the common areas. The reception team and service staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with any questions or requests I had. The location is ideal — right in the heart of Chengdu and just a short walk from the metro, which made exploring the city super easy and stress-free. I felt very well taken care of throughout my stay. If you're visiting Chengdu, I highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely love to come back again!

Great boutique hotel, near people's park and kuanzhai alley, both really worth a visit. Maybe more than just a one time visit. The room was very comfortable and really clean, it had all I could need, water, tea, milk, coffee and snacks. The room was cleaned daily. The staff is amazing, they made me feel really welcomed. When I arrived my room wasn't ready so they upgraded me to an upper floor. For a couple of days I found cards and little gifts on my desk (it was a public holiday here), which was really thoughtful. I didn't need to, but there's also a chance to do your laundry at the hotel. The hotel also provides some soup in the evening, and some activities that I could not attended, but I thought it was a nice idea. If you don't smoke make sure to book a non smoking room and you'll have a great stay!
