Hotels near Chaotianmen Square, Chongqing

Great stay in Chongqing. It was our first time, and we were happy to stay in the city's landmark. The staff was great to support, and the rooms were clean and with a great view of the two rivers: top-notch breakfast and an excellent choice for lunch and dinner. We will come back to Intercontinental whenever we travel to Chongqing.

For overseas travellers, Fraser’s is no-doubt the best place to go to. Tourist friendly, value-for-money, and impeccable service. Location is also nearby a number of amenities and a pretty nice mall , with an amazing livehouse nearby. The service staff, Amy as well as others here that have served me have been amazing and were accommodating to my wants of replacing the ironing board as well as giving me fruits upon arrival, upgrading my room without me requesting, and even letting me check out late as my flight isn’t till the evening. Simply splendid and I would book this place again if I’m ever back in Chengdu. Attached hotel lobby pictures for reference, rooms look better than in photos. Won’t go wrong here. Food deliveries are done efficiently with a robot, and you can even add their WeChat to ask for any help with almost immediate response. Cleanliness is tip-top and overall just probably the best hotel I’ve stayed during my many trips to China Any

Pros - Great location. The subway is on the basement floor of the same building, very convenient. Just across the street from Raffles city and the pier where you can get a good river view. If you like shopping you must love this location. - Good service. Nice receptionist. 24 hr front desk. - They do daily cleaning. A bit too much in my opinion because they replace everything everyday. - Nice room. Room looks new. Spacious. Nice lighting. Good amenities. Superb view. Cons - I got the room with Rafflles city view. Unfortunately, the street is noisy with horn honking. It feels loud because we were on 7th floor, and in winter you have to open the window for the air to come in. So better bring earplugs. - The bathroom and toilet's doors are transparent glasses :( Maybe it's common for China but it's very inconvenient when you travel with friend or family. We couldn't use bathroom/toilet the same time because we will see everything. Makes getting ready slower.

Very clean and new. At first, it is really hard to find which building or entrance it is. I was lost turn right to the mall from Chaotianmen Exit1 and went to the 5th floor. Called to the receptionist but unfortunately they didn't speak any English. Randomly, turned left and walked to see a canopy and eventually found it. They should have at least a VoiceOver to navigate to the right building. The rest is very good!

The room environment is OK, the night view outside the window is beautiful, the facilities are very new, but the hygiene needs to be improved. There are no other problems. It is very convenient to travel around. The downstairs is the filming location of the Internet celebrity. Overall, it is a very cost-effective homestay.

I booked this hotel for my husband’s birthday, expecting a wonderful experience given the nearly 1,000 RMB per night price tag. Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet those expectations. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by an unpleasant odor emanating from the toilet, likely due to drainage issues. Since I wasn't feeling well and was quite tired, I thought I could mask the smell with some perfume, as we were only staying for two nights. While attempting to adjust the water temperature before my bath, I discovered something sticky under my foot when I was stepping on the towel. To my surprise, the tiles were loosen and adhered to my sole. I promptly reported this issue to the hotel via WeChat, and while I appreciated their prompt response offering to change our room, we opted to stay put since it was late and we only had one more night. However, the situation worsened the following morning when we found a cockroach in our room! This was an experience I certainly did not expect, especially in a hotel at this price point. Overall, I was deeply disappointed with our stay. The only redeeming quality of the hotel was its prime location. Unfortunately, the issues we encountered overshadowed any positives, and I feel the experience was not worth the price at all.

The hotel stay experience was excellent! The location is convenient for accessing nearby attractions. The front desk service was warm, attentive, professional, and detailed. Whenever there were issues that needed resolving, they were extremely patient, making me feel right at home. The hotel room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, creating a comfortable resting environment. It was a high-floor room with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a breathtaking river view. Highly recommended for all friends in need of accommodation!

The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel though the location wasn't good but, Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check-in and the cleaning staff was delightful and eager to help! Especially when our phones could not call Didi(taxi), one of the staff helped us by using her phone to call Didi. Thank you!

A pleasant stay, within walking distance to 小什字subway station, the room itself is very special with cave style and hi tech toilet, will come again next time!
