Worst experience that I have ever had at a hotel anywhere in Asia. To start off, the counters in our room were dirty with stains and so were a few of the pillows we had. My group was looking forward to visiting chongqing, but the night that we arrived, they assigned us a room with a broken water heater. The following morning, one of us became ill after showering with water that alternated between burning hot and freezing. The hotel offered to reimburse us for the costs of buying medicine, but never followed up with us or the pharmacy during our 4 day stay. We still haven’t received any reimbursement. In addition, when we wanted to communicate with the hotel manager about the issue, we were met with a horrible attitude and they attempted to point the blame at us by saying that our group member was already feeling unwell prior to taking the shower. I’m extremely disappointed in the hotel manager’s attitude because not only was no apology offered at all, they tried gaslight and blame us for their mistakes. Finally, the overall service at the hotel felt discriminating because the staff all seemed reluctant to answer my inquiries, especially after we spoke with the manager that day.
