Ballinalacken Castle Country House Hotel

This was one of the most amazing hotels I had ever stayed at. We stayed here for our wedding day and the staff treated us like family. Not only is the hotel gorgeous, comfortable and elegant; but we were blown away from the hospitality. They went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing experience. When I left for the wedding venue the staff saw me off to my car and it made me feel very special. They made us a wedding cake that was probably one of the best cakes I have ever had, the dinner was delicious as well! We toured the castle on the property and was able to get pictures in our wedding attire in the castle and around the property. The property is gorgeous, the wildflowers are breathtaking, the castle is really impressive and they had a tour daily. Our room was very nice, very elegant. If we get back to Ireland we would definitely stay here again. They couldn't have made my special day any better!!

We wanted to be closer to Cliffs of Moher so we could get an early start there in the morning and this was a wonderful hotel between Galway and the Cliffs. It is remote, but oh so worth it. Only about 30 mins from the Cliffs. It was originally a house built in the 1600s and then converted into a hotel with 16 guest rooms. It was beyond charming. Our room was comfortable with modern accommodations, but it was styled in the older period, appropriate for this location. The bed was comfortable; room was quiet. We had a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean from our room (in the distance) and could see the southern end of the Cliffs of Moher from the property. It is up on a hill so there isn't much to block your view. It is very peaceful here. If you need to relax, you sure can here. We were there on the last Tuesday of the month when they do a special 7 course dinner paired with different wines. We are not huge foodies or drink wine. But this was a lot of fun and a great way to try something new. We tried everything. The food was very good. We could tell that others really enjoyed the wines as well. We just aren't wine drinkers. The owners really care that the guests have a a nice stay and we did. This is a place I would certainly return to if I am back in this area.

We enjoy our stay at this beautiful and well-run country hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, great staff and dining. This is a great location for touring the Cliffs of Moher, visiting The Buren or just enjoying the wonderful view and sunsets from the hotel sitting areas, inside or out. We definitely hope to visit again.

This hotel was excellent. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Our room had a fourposter bed and views of the sea out of the windows. The food in the restaurant was good and of a high quality, we were happy to have dinner there nearly every evening .

Another fabulous stay at Ballinalacken Castle…… Celia and Declan made us feel at home once again!! The Atlantic Suite has a superb view of the castle….. Declan’s tour of the castle is just great!! Such a lovely stay! The hotel itself beautiful, cosy and very welcoming. Our room was very spacious and had a breathtaking view from every window. Food was delicious, people are very nice , kind and helpful. Very convenient location . The castle tour - was really impressive - loved it. Thanks a lot to the hotel, for surprisingly upgrading our room upon arrival .”Honeymoon suite” - was beautiful! We can’t wait to come back and will definitely recommend this beautiful hotel to our friends and family.
