This was our first time to visit Ardara. We found this B&B to be everything we wanted and more! The hostess, Irene, was gracious and friendly. She accommodated all of my food allergy issues. The breakfast was delicious, the property was beautiful, the gardens equally spectacular. We enjoyed walking down to the town for shopping and dinner. It provided an opportunity to get our walking steps in. We definitely would recommend it and would stay there again. Irene recommended the best places to shop, have dinner and visit nearby attractions. P.S. The property is next to the Police station, so we certainly felt safe. Bud and Diva from Houston, Texas

We were taking an unplanned visit in Donegal and at the last minute arrived in Ardara. We tried Hillhead house -as it had a B&B sign up (surprising how few places have nowadays). Irene was most welcoming-we were her only guests. We had a great meal in Nancy's bar, walking distance down the street, and a peaceful night in a lovely room at Hillhead. The room was warm, very clean, comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Irene was a great host, full of local chat and very friendly. We will definitely come back. Jim and Geraldine

Irene was a fabulous host so down to earth great crack and made me and Stephen feel so much at home nothing was a problem to her the breakfast was fantastic the cabin and dinning room was immaculate so comfy great value for money would highly recommend. And can't wait to return thanks Irene for great stay Donna &Stephen.

Hillhead House is a lovely cosy, friendly B&B within a 5 minute walk of the pubs and restaurants in Ardara. The breakfast provided by our warm host Irene were excellent and she was able to provide us with so much information of the local tourist attractions, pubs and restaurants. My newly appointed garden chalet was perfect. Loved the decor, super comfortable bed and hot shower. Thankyou for a wonderful memorable stay. Can't wait to return!

Top of the Hill Wonderful Guest House and host. We enjoyed the new cosy and compact chalet experience and Irene’s delicious Full Irish Fry and special porridge breakfasts. Two minutes walk down into the local village with its historic, quant and famous Nancy’s Bar, this Guest house ticks all boxes in this beautiful area.

We stayed for two nights at the lovely Hillhead House. It is beautifully appointed throughout, and located just a 5-minute walk from the town center. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely bed and pristine bathroom, with a very good shower. Excellent soundproofing all around. Great breakfast and a lovely hostess Irene. Would highly recommended a stay here!

Absolutely beautiful location in Donegal. Plenty of Restaurants, bars and things to do. Our host, Irene, was very welcoming and approachable offering plenty of advice on things to do in the local area and beyond. Highly recommend to all.😊

Amazingly comfortable and so well located. Irene could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Food was terrific and room was clean. Easy walk to town for food, drink, and music. Irene had great recommendations. She made sure that stay was memorable.
