"We had booked a courtyard room but were upgraded to a Deluxe double which was huge and extremely comfortable.The bathroom was fantastic and the bed and linens excellent.We even had a turndown service which we did not expect.We ate in the bar and the food and cocktails were excellent.Breakfast was also excellent and  we are hard to please!!!!! The spa is lovely but would benefit from a covered walkway from the hotel as it was raining the whole time we were there.In general we would thoroughly recommend this hotel and will stay again.Very friendly and pleasant staff."

"This hotel is starting to look tired in respect to decoration in some areas. The photos on the wall look good. The venue appears to facilitate weddings, and the view from the reception room is good. however this appears to be the best feature. The main concern is silver fish in the bedroom. When we spoke to staff offered another room however at 2:30 am no realistic. When I spoke with reception in the morning there was a blase stating that it is a water front hotel. breakfast was adequate how hot food not as good as cold selection."

"We are returning guests. We stayed here in 2025 also. Have to say I don't think we'll return in a hurry though which is a shame. The cleanliness really rocked our experience. There was hair EVERYWHERE in our room. Long dark hair. (I'm fair haired and my other family members all have short hair). It was as if the carpets hadn't been vacuumed properly and there was hair all over the bathroom wall above the bath. Was this even cleaned? The spoon beside the tea and coffee area was dirty as well. The food in the restaurant was OK, nothing remarkable. We were sat at a table and we immediately noticed that the base of the table was horribly sticky. It was like someone spilled a fizzy drink and it was left to sit. Your shoes got stuck on it. Needless to say we only ate there one night of our stay. The staff seemed polite but unenthusiastic especially the breakfast staff. I get it, it's the morning but a bit of enthusiasm wouldn't go a miss. The hotel itself is a bit dated and tired looking. It could do with a major revamp. The nicest area of the interior of the hotel is outside of the breakfast room. It's a nice area to sit and relax. Be warned that there is no air conditioning. We knew this of course and came armed with our own fan. One was also in the room when we arrived so we had two. The room was dreadfully stuffy even with the fans. We assumed this was because our room was over the pool area which also has saunas. There's not much for kids to do either. An idea would be a playground. I've seen that in a few other hotels around the country. The selling point is that the area is stunning, Marble strand is a little oasis of bliss and nearby Dunfanaghy is great. The locals are incredibly friendly too."
