Castle Grove was an unexpected delight. My wife and I were on a self-guided tour around Ireland. We wanted quiet retreat to relax. Castle Grove welcomed us warmly and provided exceptional service. The common rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We had drinks in the drawing room where we ordered dinner sitting by a cozy fire. We were then brought into an elegant dining room when the meal was ready. The food was exquisite, simple dishes that were flavorful. The rooms continued the elegant country house theme. The grounds are equally impressive with large lawn down to the water and a walled garden to explore. We highly recommend Castle Grove!

Nothing original really to add to all the previous excellent reviews - service was top class, friendly and efficient (looking at you Karoline!). The room was a lovely surprise, upgraded to the suite without even asking! Breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice and dinner was delicious. Sitting by the fire in any of the drawing rooms was so cosy with complimentary tea/coffee and shortbread served on request. Perfect - we'll be back!

This country manor provides above and behind service (they even glued my hiking boots when the soles came off). Amazing food at the restaurant. Roomy rooms with lively amenities. I highly recommend this place for a special stay. Nice walk to the water from the manor. They even have three legged cat

A friend of ours organized a trip to the Donegal area and booked us at the Castle Grove, boy did we win the lottery! From the moment Caroline met us to the time we left our expectations were exceeded. Our room was very quiet, large with clawfoot tub and shower! The food was over the top, from breakfast (scrambled eggs with salmon was my favorite) to dinner were some of the best meals we have had in Ireland! Playing golf one day a local told me that was his favorite restaurant! And lastly, I can’t say enough good things about the staff, they all get a 10 out of 10! We will definitely be back!

Great location, beautiful grounds and rooms, staff were friendly and genuinely nice and interested. But the food is truly exceptional and the reason to visit. We enjoyed the history of the manner and used it as our base as we explored beautiful Donegal.
