The staff is very kind and courteous. They helped me with my luggage, ski passes, parking my car and removing snow from my car. The structure is a bit old, but the location is great. The gondola to the center is a 1 minute walk away. The only negative note is the breakfast. Small room, food not up to par.

My partner and I just finished a lovely stay at Lake Hotel. We stayed for 5 nights with 4 days skiing and booked through the company Heidi. We stayed right at the beginning of April 2025, it’s the end of the season so the snow is melting a bit in some places and a few places are already closing up but we knew that would be the case. We loved the hotel location. It was so easy to jump on the Jardin Alpin lift to the slopes or down into the village. In the evenings there is also a free shuttle to return to the hotel from town which was easy to use. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful explaining all the useful information such as where to collect our lift passes, ski’s and catch the bus etc. The room was very comfortable and we slept very well each night. We chose a lake facing room and spent a few evenings on the balcony with a drink watching the stars! We were really impressed with the breakfast. It was such a good selection with fresh pastries etc. and the restaurant is very pretty. We looked forward to breakfast every day and were able to fill up well for the slopes. It was our first time to Courchevel, which is a lovely resort. It was my 3rd time skiing but my partner is much more experienced. We were able to ski together and the lifts were easy to access. There are some great spots on the mountain to eat/ drink and we had an overall great time! We will definitely be back. Thank you Lake Hotel!

If you are planning to book this hotel, don't do it! The hotel is in a good position above 1850 with great access to the slopes, but to say the hotel is tired is the understatement of the century with Artex walls and ceilings and very dated furniture, carpets and decor. I paid >EUR1,000 per night, so it wasn't as if the hotel was cheap either. The breakfast is served in a yurt attached to the hotel and was literally the worst breakfast offering I have seen in 20-30 years, so much so that I got a refund and went elsewhere for breakfast. Nothing more to say apart from don't go there!

The staff were so nice to us and accommodating. They couldn't have been kinder to us as we dealt with the most insane disaster of a trip. I would give them 6 stars if I could. They went above and beyond and I would stay here again any time. Jerome is the bedt

My experience at Lake Hotel Courchevel was extremely disappointing. My family and I have been staying at this hotel annually since 2015, back when it was a Mercure hotel. However, this year, under the management of the 'Happyculture Group,' the quality of service has significantly deteriorated. Although the hotel maintains a 4-star rating, my recent experience would barely qualify it as a 3-star establishment. The breakfast was extremely poor. On the first day, I had sausage that tasted sour. I raised the issue with the staff, but they insisted it was okay. However, the following week, there were no more sausages, indicating an ongoing problem. From the second day onward, the availability and quality of food rapidly declined. Only scrambled eggs were available, with no sausage or bacon. Even upon request, basic items like bacon were not provided promptly. Promised items such as yogurt failed to materialise, with staff blaming end-of-season issues, which I find unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. On the fourth day, the breakfast situation reached its nadir, with a severe lack of both hot and cold items. Despite raising my concerns repeatedly, the staff offered little assistance, passing the responsibility back and forth. Items that the staff agreed to provide was not even ordered which I can see they do not take the customer seriously. The staff Maria also requested me to leave negative feedback to the hotel with the photo record so that the management can follow this up afterwards. On the fifth day, hoping for improvement, I arrived early for breakfast, only to find the situation unchanged. There were no fruit, ham, bacon, boil egg, yogurt, etc. When I approached the manager, they acknowledged the poor standards due to the end of the season and agreed to waive the breakfast charges for the full duration. For the sixth and seventh days, I didn't bother complaining anymore, but the breakfast standards remained dismal. We ended up having only coffee and juice, which we could have easily made in our room. I wouldn’t have made the complaint if the breakfast was waived as agreed by the manager. However, upon check-out, I was surprised to find that I was being charged the full breakfast rate. After clarification, the manager changed his stance, offering only a 50% discount, citing technicalities. This abrupt change in resolution felt dishonest and lacking in integrity as it was confirmed the charges will be waived altogether. Furthermore, the housekeeping standards were abysmal. The room was not properly cleaned, with dirty cups, unemptied rubbish bins, and debris strewn across the floor. Soap and linens were not replenished, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable for a supposed 4-star establishment. My eye has got infection after sleeping on the uncleaned pillow. After infection on the following day, I requested for the sheets to be replaced but no attention was given and after chasing for the 4th time, it was only attended after 2pm. And I

GREAT HOTEL. Wonderful Staff. The Front Desk Girls are very attractive and they treat you extremely well. On top of that, the Bar Manager, Mike is wonderful. Their Regional Team led by Tony S. was there as well and were making sure each guest had a wonderful time!

1. We have not had our room cleaned since we checked in on 12/27. I explicitly asked someone both yesterday and today (at front desk) to have our room cleaned and was disappointed to see it was not done. 2. These is a very disgusting smell in our room. We noticed this upon check-in and we already complained to the front desk. I was given an air freshener but it’s simply not enough to mask the foul odor (I witnessed several other guests complain about this to the front desk so I know it’s not just us). 3. Room condition and lack of key amenities for a 4 star hotel. Our room is akin to that of a motel. It is dated, dirty, smelly, and uncomfortable. The twin bed mattresses are 3 inches thick. There is no fan/vent in the toilet room. There is no shower wall or curtain in the bathroom. There is no water provided at all, the there is an espresso machine and tea bags. There is no hair dryer in cold room during flu season and requesting one took over an hour. The first two days we did not even have a bath mat. I’ve stayed at happyculture hotels in Nice and only had praise — to say we are severely disappointed by our stay is an understatement. To add to the aggravation, they acknowledged all the issues and promised a 50% refund that never came.
