This hotel was such a unique and great experience! Read the info book on the desk for fun things to do. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. A little chilly but that is normal for winter in this style old wood building. Shower is hot and food is delicious. Especially the corn pancakes! Be careful if you are vegetarian to ask if the vegetable dishes have meat or not… the gym and yoga room are really great!

The Linden Commons is a special place, located in the heart of Xizhou Ancient Town. We appreciated the care and hospitality of the hosts, the delicious food offered by the restaurant and the comfortable and quaint rooms. Jeanee and Brian are lovely hosts who were always going above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Highly recommend a stay here!

Great location by the lake for a bike ride. Little village is at your doorstep. Friendly and very helpful staff. Very unique hotel rooms. Comfy bed!

My favorite place on this trip to Dali is Xizhou Ancient Town. Because the hotel is an old house, it does make noises when walking, and the pillows seemed to have not been changed at first, but after reporting it to the staff, it was solved. I like it here because the weather is very good. You can go to another Xilinyuan Yang Pinxiang House for afternoon tea. The terrace there can see the whole wheat field, which is very beautiful. There are also explanations to gain a deeper understanding of historical buildings. The external environment is also very comfortable, and there is a garden restaurant, which is very beautiful! The environment is nothing to say! The whole hotel is also quiet in the bustling city, and the transportation is convenient! The only regret is that I went to Haishe Island the next day and did not participate in the morning market activities. Next time I will go directly to Yang Pinxiang House. I love the terrace afternoon tea there!

The house is very local and has 3 courtyards. We, 2 adults and 2 children, are very satisfied. The only problem is that the floor of the room is made of wood, so it is noisy. Our room faces the small street and is a bit noisy. Although the buffet breakfast does not have many varieties, the products are very good and it is enough to fill you up! Overall it is great!

If you choose a hotel in Xizhou, it must be Xilin Garden. Because of the off-season, I was lucky enough to be directly upgraded to a luxury king room. The bedding is extremely comfortable, and unique activity designs such as hotel experience, local cultural introduction and morning market visit make Xizhou more lively. Mr. and Mrs. Linden are very friendly and the service staff are very nice. I fell in love with Xilinyuan and will come again next time~

All areas of the hotel have access to free Wi-Fi, and each room is equipped with traditionally Chinese bedding arrangements and locally crafted wooden furniture, an electric kettle, air conditioning, hairdryer, bathrobes, and a full private bathroom. In order to preserve this national heritage site, we have a designated smoking deck in the back courtyard but do not allow smoking inside the hotel.
