Dalian Zhongshan District Hotels

The apartment is super nice for it’s size and also include a kitchen with all the cutlery and cooking pots and pan . Most of all it has a washing machine with the dry function as well , washing detergent is provided daily. The bedding is so comfortable and with good quality. It’s super quiet and will not be disturbed at all. We enjoyed the swimming pool. The spa and sauna room is in the changing room. We will definitely stay again next time.

Overall a good place with a bright design. Location is about 20-25 minutes walking from the train station or 15 minutes from the metro station with a direct link to the airport. It is foreigner friendly, since the friendly staff knows some English or tries to communicate via online translator. The bed was very comfortable, Aircon worked for cooling, WiFi was fast. Two minor flaws: drainage in the shower didn't work well and there was some weird smell in the room when I arrived, but nothing too serious. The breakfast is not a buffet. You'll be served a tray with some food as shown on photo. If you like chicken feet and a prawn in rice porridge for breakfast, you'll love it :) On the flip side, they push you hard to leave them a 5* review when you check out. They even have a special manual for that in several languages. This spoils the overall good impression. In any case, I can recommend this place.

My stay at the InterContinental Dalian was nothing short of exceptional. This 5-star hotel is located in an iconic skyscraper right in the heart of Dalian, overlooking the historic Zhongshan Square. The location is perfect—just steps away from the Zhongshan Square subway station, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, the hotel’s prime location puts you right in the center of everything. The room was absolutely stunning. Spacious, elegantly designed, and fully equipped with everything you could need, it truly felt like a luxurious retreat. The floor-to-ceiling window offered breathtaking views of the city, and the cozy bed ensured a restful night’s sleep. The room also featured a large, luxurious desk, two sofa areas, and a massive bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. Every detail exuded sophistication and comfort. The breakfast was another highlight of my stay. It was a true 5-star experience, with a wide variety of options including fresh, handmade pastries, European dishes, and authentic Chinese cuisine. The quality and variety were outstanding, and it was the perfect way to start each day. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Special thanks to Grace at the reception, Kiki in the club lounge, and Mr. Clyde for their outstanding hospitality. That said, every member of the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive. In summary, the InterContinental Dalian is a true 5-star hotel in every sense—location, accommodations, amenities, and service. It’s the perfect choice for anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Dalian. I can’t recommend it highly enough and would absolutely stay here again on my next visit!

The good: great location, next door to two malls, lots of good food options nearby, free laundry and dryer on-site, and there's also a small gym The bad: Security: there are two sets of elevators, only one set of elevators require keycard to access the hotel floors, the other set of elevators do NOT require keycard, a rando on the street can walk in and access the hotel floors anytime of the day Smoking: despite the no smoking signs inside the hotel room, the hotel is full of cigarette smell, even the hotel staff smoke on the hotel lobby floor (the night staff does anyways) Shower: bathroom and shower is separated from the rest of the room by frosted glass, so if you are traveling with friends and/or family, they will see the silhouette of your body when you are showering, and I mean they will see everything, so do not stay here if you are traveling with family and friends

The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk from the Zhongshan Square Metro. Breakfast served was good with both Western and Chinese menu. There is also freshly brewed coffee available from the machines apparently dispensing Luckin type coffee. The laundry facilities are a little old and you have to pay for its use. There is little food outlets around the hotel. The room is reasonably sized but the bed mattress was a little sunken for my liking. Overall it's a reasonably good stay. It would have been better if the hotel wil get a new refurbishing.

Room is spacious and very comfortable. There a mini fridge and sofa couch. Great city view and very quiet also. Hotel breakfast is good. Almost packed every morning. At the reception there also free tea/coffee and fruits/biscuits. Staff at reception is courteous and friendly. Very convenient to everywhere. Great value for money. Will stayed here again

The hotel is near Zhongshan Square. There is a big logo at the door. It is very easy to find and convenient to the station. You can take the tram or subway to get there. The taxi is also the starting price. There are many restaurants near the hotel. There is a big supermarket opposite. It is also close to the shopping mall. The air conditioning in the room is very warm. The housekeepers replenish the supplies in a timely manner. The service attitude of the sisters at the front desk is also very good. They are very enthusiastic and there is 24-hour hot mineral water. It is very cost-effective in the same hotel. The environment is good, the service attitude is good, and the attitude of the front desk is very good! I often stay at their house. Knowing that we are old customers, they helped us upgrade. It is so thoughtful that they even helped us deliver things at night. Many places are very thoughtful

Very nice breakfast, good quality food, lots of choices. Nice lobby very luxury, room service is quick. For some reason we’ve got our room upgraded and got a huge apartment. So I would stay here again. Beautiful place.

Very good location near the big shopping mall and Labor park, a lot of stores, restaurants and cafes around. Clean, good internet and TV programs

I have used this hotel several times for business and for vacations, the location is great, the facilites too.Good room sizes fast internet, with top grade staff, they make you feel like your at home , buffet breakfast is good for all tastes , Reception staff and all other levels of staff go out of their way to help , Around half the staff speak English, in the basement there is a German style brewhouse with copper vats etc and the beer is really same as Munich, The restaurant in the basement bar has a good range of Bavarian style dishes and the resident live band plays 6 nights per week (Sundays off) Guitarist , Drummer and Singer really entertain well and play from 20:00 until 24:00 with a couple of short breaks, There is also a pool and gym, Spa and Cafe and Chinese restauarant too, Around 200 meters away is a really nice park, take the chairlift to the tower and the toboggan back down its great fun, also stroll around , see and feel the atmosphere of the various groups that use the park for walking, dancing, singing, playing card games, also Kicking large ”shuttle cocks” etc, Nearby (5 minute walk from Hotel is a large shopping complex with many eating places and shops etc, the old tram stop is around 15 minute walk and easy to use, I have used a lot of hotels in China, This one is up there with the best of them,, Its my home from home.
