An enjoyable two nights spent here. Very pleasant landscaping- trees and foliage. The rooms were roomy, comfortable with mosquito nets, tea and coffee facilities, wi fi access. Sanjeevani and her team made us the most delicious breakfasts- a wide assortment of Lankan food (stringhoppers, roti, godamba, pancake, toast, curries and sambols, fruit salad). Afternoons were spent relaxing by the pool (after climbing Dambulla and Sigiriya ) it was nice to return to a cool and quiet place. Will we return again? Absolutely. Any suggestions? Please no air fresheners in the rooms.

We stayed at Freedom village, Dambulla for 3 nights B&B. We enjoyed our stay and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room and facilities as described but in the bathroom there were some rust in the bath tub and also drain stopper was missing. Breakfast options were great and delicious. We also had two dinners from them and it was great and prices were reasonable. Recommend for anyone who search places to stay in Dambulla.

If you ever consider to go to Dambulla, this is the place to be! The location is on a central point from which you can go easilly to beautiful landmarks as the Rock Temple, Lion’s Rock, Pidurangala Rock, Minnerya National Park or the ruïns of Polonnaruwa. But most of all we had an excellent stay with our hosts, Ajith, Sanjeewani & Tharini. They arrange everything you need. Even a dentist. And they are so nice! Ajith showed us around in the area and guided us during our climb on Pidurangala Rock. We certainly would like to return here!

A gem of a place with everything you need. Comfortable bed, mosquito net, air con and took a lovely traditional breakfast in the restaurant. Very cheap and hospitality plus. The host was very helpful with local knowledge and very friendly.

Our room had not been used for 2 years due to the pandemic, and so there was a frog in the toilet bowl. Also, there was no hot water and the fan and tv etc did not work. The floor above us was incomplete. However, the breakfast was excellent, and the proprietor had his own taxis and minibus, and would provide services to visit all the incredible sights in the area, and for a very reasonable fee. Also, we enjoyed Dambulla itself, and ate out at a local restaurant. I would particularly recommend the Sunday market, which is really close to the hotel, and was a highlight of our trip. The shortcomings of the hotel I would attribute to the pandemic, and I feel that this resort would deserve a higher rating in different circumstances

great place to stay and have a kind people with lot of big hearts, luxery rooms and perfect pool with exellent service make our vacation perfect, hotel owner persanally check all guest expectations, lot of choise in the breakfast, reasonable price, we never had experiance like this in othrs place in dambulla,

Professionally and friendly run small resort in a quiet back street, yet close to the bus station and shops in central Dambulla. Open dining area; if you want to go to bed early you may want to select a room a bit away from it. My apartment was not cleaned during my stay - you may have to explicitly tell them; but was no big deal for me.
