I had a great one night stay at the Hauting Hotel. It’s a large, modern hotel conveniently located in a building attached to a big shopping centre, which made it easy to grab food or essentials. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, with individual heating and cooling and electric opening and closing window dressings.
The shower had excellent water temperature and pressure, and the bathroom was well-stocked with quality toiletries including shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, and toothpaste. A great bonus was the free laundry facilities. It has a gym also but I didn’t try that.
Breakfast featured a nice spread of Asian cuisine, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a great experience and excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend it to others visiting Datong.

Near the old Datong station and far from the high speed train station. Is in a quiet location not too far from old city and private hire vehicle not that expensive. Room was spacious and bed comfortable.
Typical Chinese breakfast simple and enough for me.
Staff was friendly and courteous. Not much eatery around here. For best food have to go to Bell tower

Not bad, not bad, not bad. The service of the lady and brother at the front desk is good and polite. I like it! I will stay here again next time I come to Datong. It's close to the train station. But the floor heating is too hot. Hahahaha. I have to open the window to get some fresh air at night.
