"The biggest surprise of this trip was staying at this old Pipa Inn, which felt like a private museum. From the moment I stepped through the door, everything I saw was exquisite collections and memorabilia related to Zhaojun. Every decoration showcased the owner's aesthetic and ingenuity, making me feel as if I had traveled through time and was conversing with history. The location is simply impeccable. Huayan Temple is right outside the door, and the joy of walking everywhere is something truly special! The nearest taxi stand, Huayan Hotel, is only a three-minute walk away. Right at the doorstep is a food paradise, with famous local eateries like Xijindao, Fenglinge, Longjuxiang, and Zini 369 all within walking distance. Finding food was absolutely effortless, perfect for lazy people like us who don't want to plan. The inn also provides breakfast, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the meals, with a perfect blend of Chinese and Western options. Even more remarkable is the atmosphere here. All the guests were polite, and I even met some foreign friends. My biggest thanks go to the owner. When we had an urgent work matter and needed assistance, the owner not only didn't find it troublesome but went out of their way to enthusiastically help us coordinate resources, solving our immediate problem. This is no longer just an inn; it's the warmest support system on a journey. Highly recommended!"

Cleanliness: The hygiene was okay, but I'm not sure if it was an allergy specific to Datong or something else, but after one night, my nose felt itchy and I kept sneezing. It got much better after I turned on the air conditioning. Environment: The hotel's internal environment is good. It's about 2-3 kilometers from the ancient city, which is a comfortable bike ride away. The hotel also has slow-charging stations, so if you're driving, you can charge your car overnight. We just went directly into the ancient city for meals. Service: The service attitude was very good."

My first impression after checking in was: Datong hotels are incredibly grand! 😂 When I arrived at night, the fountain at the entrance turned on, the lights lit up, and the whole hotel looked particularly impressive. Inside, it was 'resplendent' all the way through; the lobby and corridors had the feel of an old-school high-star hotel, perfect for casual photos. The room was much larger than I expected, and the bed was very wide. I could spread out my suitcase completely without it getting in the way. The cleanliness was meticulous; the bedding, desk, and bathroom were all very neat. Overall, my stay for several nights was very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious, and the double sinks were very convenient – two people could get ready in the morning without fighting for space. The breakfast is also worth praising. The variety was truly extensive, not just a few random items like some hotel breakfasts. There was a huge spread of fruits, hot dishes, and main courses. Those with decision paralysis would definitely go back for several rounds! 😂 It's especially friendly for tourists; eating a hearty breakfast before heading out to explore means you won't get hungry easily for the whole morning. Overall, it's a place I'd be happy to recommend. The environment is grand enough, the room is spacious and clean enough, and breakfast is abundant. If you care about accommodation comfort when visiting Datong, you can confidently choose Yungang Hotel, especially if you spend your days exploring and want a good rest at night. "This hotel is essentially next door to the Yungang Grand Hotel and is probably one of the best hotels in the area. The overall decor is very grand, giving off a luxurious vibe. The room itself was fantastic; the cleanliness, amenities, and room service all deserve five stars! Downstairs is Fengling Court, and it's about 1 km from Wanda Plaza, so it's quite convenient for getting around and dining. The downsides are that the pool closes pretty early, around 8 PM, and the changing rooms smelled strongly of urine. The pool water also didn't feel very clean, so that part of the experience was just okay. Additionally, breakfast was incredibly crowded, and you had to find your own seat. I hope they can optimize this, though I understand it's peak tourist season. Overall, I was still very satisfied!"
