Had a problem with a smell of cigarrette smoke in the room but we were moved to another room immediately when we complained. The room we were moved to was perfect.

I had a great one night stay at the Hauting Hotel. It’s a large, modern hotel conveniently located in a building attached to a big shopping centre, which made it easy to grab food or essentials. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, with individual heating and cooling and electric opening and closing window dressings. The shower had excellent water temperature and pressure, and the bathroom was well-stocked with quality toiletries including shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, and toothpaste. A great bonus was the free laundry facilities. It has a gym also but I didn’t try that. Breakfast featured a nice spread of Asian cuisine, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a great experience and excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend it to others visiting Datong.

Because I like big rooms, I booked a family room, and there are extra discounts for staying for three days. The hotel is on the 20th-21st floor of a building next to Datong Railway Station. Downstairs is the Aegean Shopping Park. The second underground floor is the hotel parking lot. You have to pay the parking fee in advance and the hotel will reimburse you later. The room decoration is simple, and towels, cups and other utensils are disposable. The sanitary conditions are good. The first room assigned was next to the laundry room and had a sewage odor, so we were quickly moved to another room. There is a Tonghe Hotel near the train station, which serves authentic Datong cuisine and is not expensive. There is a Fudao Noodle Restaurant on Wuding West Street, 300 meters away from the hotel, which serves breakfast at 6:30, and it tastes good.

The room is good, loft, the children like it very much. The landlord is enthusiastic and solves problems in time. It will also appease the children, send small snacks, like 👍 A small suggestion, the bathroom can press a shower curtain, so that dry and wet can be separated.
