Very good experience with hotel. Room was comfortable and the bathroom design is good. Reception staff was very helpful and provided good advice of Datong's tourist attractions. Hotel provided refreshment in the evening which was an excellent way to differentiate itself from the competition. Tried their chicken during early lunch and it was really tasty. Also, the staff kindly allowed me to play their Yamaha piano at the lobby. I would recommend this hotel to people visiting Datong.

Wenda and all of her colleagues were wonderful! English is spoken here. Fantastic service, friendly, helpful, very clean and spacious rooms, really nice view over the river and at night with all of the lights. Breakfast is good, the facilities are clean and presentable. The room was quiet and the window can be opened if you want fresh air or to cool down the room a bit, the ac works too to cool it down in winter but that’s recirculated air with some people smoking in non-smoking rooms (typical). Our room did not smell which was great and although we had neighbours we could not hear them, so good for light sleepers. Only downside is the bed is firm. Quick 10 minute didi to the ancient city, malls, delicious lunch and food places. The hotel organised a driver to take us to the hanging temple, yungang grottoes and then to a delicious local restaurant very affordable, helpful, reliable and kind driver (WeChat: 永恒). Also recommend going to the art gallery and museum only 10 mins away. It’s a good location.

Very close to the Datong South station, about 5 min by car. Spacious rooms, bathrobes provided, excellent tea (proper tea, no teabags!) inside the room. We stayed for 2 days. Easy ride to the ancient city of Datong, about 15-20 min, I think. The only inconvenience was that the heating is on all the time, i had to keep the window openn throughout the night. And the reception is not 24/7 as advertised. When we tried to check out at 6:30 am to go to the Hanging Monastery, there was noone. We called them afyerwards, and everything was sorted though, they even let us come back and leave our bags till the evening when we had spare time before the train.

I chose this hotel because it is just a twenty minute walk north of Datong South Station. It is right next to Fantawild amusement park, so is a good choice for families (Most of the guests were families with young kids). Everything inside the hotel is brand new. One of the hosts at reception was exceptional, and she not only offered wonderful device and care to me but also to every guest I saw her interacting with (I didn't learn her name, alas). One interesting note: I stayed there on a Friday and Saturday night, and there was a firework show on both evenings in Fanatwild next door. The booming sound startled me at first, but I quickly realized what it was.

The housekeeping aunt's service was polite and standard. Thumbs up for them! The hotel has a free underground parking lot, which is not on the same street as the hotel's main entrance. With the blessing of hot water, it is relatively comfortable even in winter when the temperature is very low. The downside is that there is no night light, and all functions rely too much on Xiaodu. The lighting modes selected by the physical buttons are limited, and the left and right sides are different. The air conditioning panel is particularly hidden behind Xiaodu. I didn't find it the first time and asked the waiter. [Service] The service efficiency is relatively high, and the cleaning is fast. Every time I come back, the cleaning is complete. However, I have indeed seen a more frugal hotel. I stayed for three nights and didn't change the big bath towel once. The towel was taken away later and I forgot to put a new one. It didn't affect it, but I felt that I needed to pay attention. [Breakfast] Breakfast is on the second floor. The breakfast coupons given by the front desk in advance are used. It starts at 7 o'clock, but I feel that the breakfast variety is a bit inconsistent with the huge restaurant area, and the selection is relatively single. Maybe it's because of the local taste. When I arrived at the B&B, I was told that due to some reasons, the originally booked room with two double beds had been replaced by a double room. It was on the second floor. The room was clean, but the sewer smell was severe. The toilet and shower were exposed, which I was not used to. I changed back to a standard room the next day, everything was normal and the experience was good. The service attitude of the staff at the B&B is very good. On the first night, I couldn't find my ID card and asked to see the surveillance camera. The staff helped me find the surveillance camera and helped me search for it in the lobby for a long time. If there was a problem with the sewerage, they came up to help me in the middle of the night. They were very helpful. Turn on the projector. The B&B has a big dog, which is very well-behaved and doesn't bark. There are also a few kittens, which are very pet-friendly. I see many tourists bringing their dogs with them. Overall, the experience was good. The decoration style is quite unique. I suggest improving the sewer pipes in Caixun's room. I will come back in the future.

However, an episode occurred when I entered the room. The toilet in the room was sticky because of the original guest. After tearing off the toilet seat, the glue was all stuck to the toilet. I started looking for a hotel, but heard nothing for more than ten minutes. Later, I contacted the front desk manager to come and deal with it, and the manager solved the problem very quickly.
