Hotels in Datong South Railway Station/Fantawild Adventure, Datong

I chose this hotel because it is just a twenty minute walk north of Datong South Station. It is right next to Fantawild amusement park, so is a good choice for families (Most of the guests were families with young kids). Everything inside the hotel is brand new. One of the hosts at reception was exceptional, and she not only offered wonderful device and care to me but also to every guest I saw her interacting with (I didn't learn her name, alas). One interesting note: I stayed there on a Friday and Saturday night, and there was a firework show on both evenings in Fanatwild next door. The booming sound startled me at first, but I quickly realized what it was.

I did a lot of research before choosing Datong Holiday Inn, and I was not disappointed! Convenient transportation and parking, you can park on the ground or underground. The breakfast was rich and delicious, and the staff were warm and attentive. The facilities and equipment are brand new, and the decoration style is also my favorite type. When checking in, I asked the front desk lady about fun places nearby and she enthusiastically gave me suggestions. Next time I come to Datong, I will definitely stay here again!

The hotel is quite new, featuring high-end, clean, and comfortable rooms with great beds. The staff was friendly and attentive, offering free water, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was enjoyable, although the international options were somewhat limited. Given that most guests were Chinese, this was understandable. The coffee was excellent, which was definitely a highlight. The hotel’s location just outside the city was convenient, especially since many attractions are located nearby. However, the only downside was that the hotel felt a bit too warm, maintaining a temperature around 25°C. This seemed to be a common concern among other guests as well. Overall, it was a pleasant stay in a comfortable setting.

Staying at Qiuguo Courtyard Hotel ～ rounded up a wish of my husband, and it feels like a warm and comfortable home! The service level is superb, the staff is very kind, the environment is elegant and comfortable, the full set of mahogany furniture shows its nobleness, and the quality of the mattress bed is impeccable! Sleeping very comfortable, Xiaodu smart linkage also made us very happy, open the curtains, open the TV, open the air conditioner, set the temperature, contact customer service, etc. to call Xiaodu to complete! great! The hotel also arranged a pick-up for us! The super five-star service of the pick-up master Xiaodi made us very touched. We sent fruit, sweets and Datong specialties when we checked in! The breakfast is also super delicious and very suitable for us! In short, everything here makes us unforgettable for life!

This gem of a hotel is truly worth a visit. It's newly opened and overall, it's fantastic. Traveling with children is especially concerning for hygiene, but the clean and sanitary environment at Home Inns Hotel amazed me. It felt much better than my previous stay at Home Inns Select! The mattress was incredibly comfortable, with a latex layer and excellent spring comfort. I fell asleep in no time! The location is also fantastic, right next to Fantawild! Cycling is incredibly cool! The hotel staff is highly qualified and accommodating. I booked a family room with twin beds for one day, and the front desk upgraded it to a two-day family room for my child! We didn't have to change rooms mid-trip, which was incredibly comfortable! The breakfast was also excellent and delicious!

We were warmly greeted by friendly staff upon arrival, making us feel welcome right away. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and the team went the extra mile to help us register on their app as we are foreigners, ensuring we could easily access Wi-Fi and contact them if needed. We had called ahead to request a humidifier and air purifier, and were pleased to find them already prepared in our room when we checked in. The room itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the inclusion of an electric toilet with a heated seat was a thoughtful touch, especially during the winter season. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered was genuinely helpful and sincere in their service, always making sure we were well taken care of. We initially planned to stay from 6/12/24 to 8/12/24 but felt so at home that we decided to extend our stay for an additional two days. A big thank you to the team at Mecure Hotel for their exceptional service and attention to detail. Me and my Husband had agreed this is best hotel in our 17 days China trip. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to returning in the future. Great job!

Cool Hotel, with everything needed for a relaxed stay. The location is perfect for reaching the old town and very close to the location where tours depart. I didn’t use the AC as it was not that hot these days, just kept the window open and was really relaxing. The self laundering service is good, but might me full on peak hours. Front desk allowed for a smooth check in, I speak Chinese so I cannot assess the English level.

I didn't expect that I could book a fake Crown in Datong, but it is indeed a five-star hotel with a high rating and ranking in OTA. The price is super cost-effective, less than 400 including breakfast for two. The overall hardware facilities are not advanced enough, but the service is quite good overall. There are many staff at the front desk, and the reception is also very considerate. There is even a night bed service, and Tremella soup and mineral water are provided in a timely and enthusiastic manner. I would like to praise Zhang Qingyu from the housekeeping department. The breakfast is indeed as rich as described in the reviews, especially the knife-cut noodles taste good, and you can also blanch vegetables, have Mongolian milk tea to drink, and the mutton steamed buns taste good!
