Hotels in Datong South Railway Station/Fantawild Adventure, Datong

I just moved into this hotel on 10 July 2025. The looks of the hotel was spacious. The crew and manager was friendly too. I had difficulty in booking some itenary that was in Beijing as it needed their number and they were friendly in assisting my request. The room when I entered was as I expected spacious and nicely designed, and the scenery was good. I like the tea set that was on the table set upon the tatami mat. It feel comfortable and I just seat there and brew myself some tea enjoying the window scenery. The breakfast was nice and tasty. Glad that I have chosen here. Will stay there again if I come to Datong.

The service from the staff was outstanding—they were incredibly professional and friendly. When our booked room wasn't ready before noon, they surprised us with a complimentary upgrade so we could check in immediately, which was a fantastic touch. Our room was spotless, with fresh sheets and towels. We also loved the buffet breakfast, which offered a great variety of both Chinese and international dishes. As a bonus, the free self-service laundry facilities were extremely helpful.”

The price is very high, the hot spring is not big but clean and hygienic, it has local bathing characteristics, the guests are basically regular customers, slow and comfortable. The back is also a major feature. It costs less than 100 yuan to enjoy an hour of squatting, pressing, pinching, and flushing. Basically, they are all done in a deep sleep. Unfortunately, there are too many people in the queue, and I can't wait for more than an hour. I can leave my hope to the next time.

The new Holiday Inn was truly amazing! The staff were all very professional and attentive. Special thanks to Manager Zhao Jie for arranging a room upgrade in advance and providing airport transfer service afterwards. The rooms were also very clean. The breakfast, including freshly made wontons, noodles, and fruit, was excellent. The Chinese restaurant was also reasonably priced and served both lunch and dinner. As for the hotel's location, it's in a local residential area with small and medium-sized supermarkets and plenty of barbecue restaurants nearby. It's about 3 kilometers from Datong Ancient City, making it easy to call a ride-hailing service.

A very satisfying trip. Environment: Quiet and comfortable, with a fountain and swings in front. Cleanliness: There are no hotels in the ancient city, only inns, which are not very clean. Hotels with children should be much cleaner and tidier. Service: Excellent. Seeing that I was traveling with two children, they upgraded me to a family room free of charge and even gave me breakfast coupons. The breakfast was also very varied. The hotel also thoughtfully provided a pick-up service from the station. Highly recommended!

A truly wonderful stay! I absolutely adored the traditional courtyard house. The owner's meticulous attention to detail was evident in the decor, with all the furniture crafted from genuine solid mahogany. The room amenities gave a very homely feel, featuring a solid wood bed, wardrobe, table and chairs, and a daybed. The toilet and shower were separate, and it even had a smart toilet. Everything was impeccably clean. Breakfast was fantastic! We received an incredibly warm welcome, making us feel like family.

This is a newly opened hotel with very comfortable and clean rooms. We booked a family room with our children, but there were no rooms available. The girl at the front desk immediately upgraded us to a suite for free. Thank you very much. We also want to thank the very young and handsome guy at the front desk for showing us the room. We really felt the hospitality and sincerity of the people of Datong, and were deeply impressed by Home Inn's service. We will stay here again next time and recommend it to everyone. Thank you!

It takes 5-6 hours to take the high-speed train from Datong to Zhengzhou, so I decided to leave by plane with my classmates. My husband stayed one more night so that he could go to the Coal Mine Park to experience and learn about the Datong mining area. Thank you to the front desk staff for helping to take care of my husband and providing high-speed train service. Thank you 🙏! My husband returned to Zhengzhou Hotel tonight and kept mentioning that the facilities at North-South LOFT Hotel are really smart and advanced! It is definitely worth looking forward to traveling to Datong again and staying at the LOFT Hotel!

This stay was really a pleasant surprise! Design: The design of the hotel lobby and the room is very stylish and looks great in photos. Comfort: The bedding is skin-friendly, the mattress is soft and hard in the right amount, and I had a good night's sleep. The shower water pressure is strong and steady, washing away all the fatigue. Facilities: Large TV, smart curtains, Bluetooth speakers, high-speed Wi-Fi, all these configurations that enhance the sense of happiness are available. I was especially moved by the hotel's service: Although it is a newly opened hotel, the two managers, Manager Wang and Manager Ming, are very dedicated, considerate, and hands-on, with a warm and efficient service attitude. We were warmly greeted by friendly staff upon arrival, making us feel welcome right away. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and the team went the extra mile to help us register on their app as we are foreigners, ensuring we could easily access Wi-Fi and contact them if needed. We had called ahead to request a humidifier and air purifier, and were pleased to find them already prepared in our room when we checked in. The room itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the inclusion of an electric toilet with a heated seat was a thoughtful touch, especially during the winter season. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered was genuinely helpful and sincere in their service, always making sure we were well taken care of. We initially planned to stay from 6/12/24 to 8/12/24 but felt so at home that we decided to extend our stay for an additional two days. A big thank you to the team at Mecure Hotel for their exceptional service and attention to detail. Me and my Husband had agreed this is best hotel in our 17 days China trip. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to returning in the future. Great job!
