A very Nice hotel and clean, free parking too. we could easily access other places in Textel with fietsen which you can also hire from the hotel. Ontbijt was also ok Quite disappointed that access to Sauna needed an extra payment but everyone could access the Pool so this was alittle reliëf.

This hotel was exceptional. We called in to see about availability and the receptionist showed us various rooms that would be available and their prices. She was friendly & helpful. Our room was spacious clean and beautifully appointed with a record player on the side! The spa and swimming pool were clean and quiet. We had dinner in the restaurant in the evening and the food was absolutely delicious. The gin and tonic I had before hand was one of the best I’ve ever had and made with Texel gin! An all round great experience which we would highly recommend. Thank you to all staff x

We spent 5 days there with 8 people. It was the second time, the first time we were enthusiastic. Because everything went well. During our stay four weeks ago, the hotel's own car park was being renovated. So it was a private construction project. Nevertheless, we rented the rooms to the car park at the full price. When the bulldozers rolled up at 7:00 a.m., we asked for a solution. We were told that a discount would not be a solution, but we could be offered a quieter room in a lower category for two nights (out of a total of 5). We would have even done that, but we were not allowed to leave our things in the room, which was actually unrentable at that time, because the management said that it could still be rented out again. Who would want to pack all their things and move for two out of 5 next? This is unacceptable. Honestly, renting out two rooms (we had booked 4 months in advance) to well-paying returning guests when you know that the bulldozer will be rolling in at 7:00 in the morning is an absolute impertinence. Then came cheeky answers like: "after you were at the reception at 7:00 a.m. and I complained, they were waiting until 8:00 a.m. (that was the case on the first day) - now don't make such a fuss." So we cancelled all the spa treatments and went out to eat every evening, with 8 people,. the plan was to stay in the hotel the whole time.... When we checked out, they offered us one night out of 5 for free, after I asked the management several times - according to the law, much bigger discounts are possible, but they refused. Conclusion: 5 days for 165,- the night with bulldozers who started at 7:00 and worked the whole day, 10 metres in front of our window. In the eyes of the management, no reason not to rent out these two rooms. Actually, we wanted to come every year with the whole family, but with such a attitude..... When everything is going well, everyone is terribly friendly, but when there is a problem, the focus is on profit instead of customer satisfaction. Really unwise.

Such a nice place! Beautiful room with sweeping views, and nice grounds around the hotel. Very comfortable bed and bathroom. Beautiful breakfast/dining room, and the food was excellent! Breakfast was included. I would have liked to stay here longer -- it felt so relaxing and peaceful.

We were looking for relaxation and comfort willing to pay a bit higher price. So the positive things first: - Staff is super friendly, attentive and efficient - Very quiet at night - Everything is clean and more or less new This hotel is located in the middle of the island and we thought such location will bring us tranquility and quitness hoping that hotel could offer us everything we need for our short stay. We very much wanted to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy fields however views from all rooms are not that great. It is either the main road or car parking or camping. You can't enjoy the horizon :( Dinner menu is very expensive and promises exqusite experience but did not meet our taste. There are no alternative facilities such supermarkets and restaurants nearby so please check their menu before booking. Breakfast is a huge disappointment in terms of 4* hotel! Nothing to chose from: one type of cheese, one type of meat, scrambled eggs, yoghurt and a couple of deserts. Spa area is tiny and not cozy. Fortunately for us it was not crowdy there but I would say it is comfortable and relaxing there. However it offers the only nice view toward fields. Room looks nice but note the wierd toilet door. It is made of wood and does not cover the whole entrance. So nowhere to hide from toilet flushes. No, I will not come there again.
