Hotel Diplomat Residency

I stayed in the hotel for 3 days and had a comfortable stay. They accommodated early check-in and late check-out , which was actually the best experience. Overall I would highly recommend this place if someone wish to stay closer to Lajpat Nagar market.

Everything about this hotel is good apart from the Parking. The just have a roadside space for 3-4 cars and although they have their security guard in place I still don’t find it completely safe

The room was good, the stay was good, and the service was good. The staff was also nice, and the breakfast was good as well. However, there was one problem—there was no window or access to sunlight. Additionally, there was a complimentary drink, but it was not served.

Excellent location great staff hotel is much known for amenities and hospitability of each staff. Special mention of Manisha ji and Jagat ji is required. They go out of way to help us as their guest and make the stay do comfortable. Food is superlative and you can never forget such awesome fresh from oven food. Breakfast has fresh and good menu to start the day.

We were attending a wedding in Delhi so stayed there for 3 nights. Only good thing about the hotel is their location- right next to main road and easily accessible at all hours. The room they gave us was right next to their utility closets- so we’d have to go through laundry baskets/ cleaning supplies each time we make it to our room or come out. Breakfast was decent -not too many options, vegetarian and decent tasting. The air conditioning of the room was not up to the mark- we had to turn it off at night or it would get too cold. Worst thing was the reception. We had asked for a late checkout the night before (we asked for a couple of hours) and the manager said it was okay. The next morning we went out for some work around 11.30 (Half an hour past their check out time) and they didn’t say anything. When we got back an hour later- the staff at reception (a bald headed guy whose name we didn’t get) was shouting at us for overstaying. Once we said this was already cleared the night before - he was like- don’t stay a minute beyond 1 in that case. We vacated the room immediately, gave back the key, and at no point did he or any other member try to apologise (we wouldn’t have stayed past 11 had they not given us green signal before) ! I can look past all other issues with the place but not this behaviour. Not recommending this place to anyone nor are we coming back to this place ever.

Wanted a decent hotel rightly priced in lajpat, diplomat residency was good choice, except bit overly priced for kind of facilities rates are for its location asked for twin bed was given king size, receptionist not willing to upgrade rooms are decent, tv not working as usual
