Dull, soul-less, tired corporate hotel at the wrong end of the promenade. Beds comfortable. Decor tired, modish but dated at the same time. Expensive breakfast (17 Euros) which had terrible coffee, dull, rubbery croissants, cheap Danish salami.

The service was excellent, a warm and friendly welcome. This is why I rate the hotel 3 stars instead of 1. The hotel is very expensive for such an old fashioned place. I have travelled a lot all over France (and the world!) and the room was more like 2 star than 3 in my opinion. It looks terrible from the outside and the rooms inside are not great. It is at the far end from the town centre, but still within walking distance. Electrical sockets: difficult to reach, under furniture and only at floor level. Hazardous in a 'family room'. I would not recommend staying here if you have children 3 or under. Furnishings: Very old fashioned and not enough chairs for all guests. A low table was placed right next to a large open double window when we arrived, this is really dangerous for children. Aircon: none. This was a problem because the windows open inwards and you can not keep them open and close the curtains at the same time, letting street light and noise in. Beds: comfy but one of the two beds smelled faintly of urine. Room: dirty floor, skirting and windows. Very old paintwork, in need of redecoration. Wonky pictures on the wall. No balcony. Bathroom/toilet: Clean but no extractor fan. Chairs: two frayed leather chairs provided in a four person room. Kettle: plugged in in the bathroom next to the sink! Refreshments: Two sachets of coffee provided in a 4 person room and no milk or fridge. Towels: Stiff but clean. Toiletries: shower gel and bar soap provided. Entry system: Worked fine, key card entry. Breakfast: 17 euros, but very good. Sadly, we would not visit again but appreciated the good customer service.

The hotel was horrible and the management Unacceptable !!!! We have checked in the hotel , they asked us to pay the room in advance the price was 171 euros . We arrived to the room the bed was full of bugs and spiders there was hair from dogs everywhere, it seems that the pillows was used before . We do not advice you to go there even if there are mo roams in town better travel 1 hour to go to Rouen you will find perfect rooms with half price. We have asked the hotel to reimburse our momey but they didn’t , as an excuse we have been in the room for 5 min only.

The hotel itself sits on the seafront with a lovely sea view. The rooms are bright, spacious and clean. The hotel is basic but does the job nicely. Breakfast was continental and excellent. Gabrielle and his wife provide a first class service. Cant wait to visit again when I am next in Dieppe. Would highly recommend.

The wonderful owner, Gabriel, saved our bacon...we'd booked an apartment for one night in Dieppe for one night but it was totally unsuitable so we set about looking for a hotel...at gone midnight....all we initially tried were full but finally with the help of lovely Laura at the Aguado who had the kindness to call around for us, we got a room at the L'Europ...relief! Comfortable beds, great view in the morning over the sea, fantastic breakfast. Gabriel and his wife run this place, with a smile and enthusiasm. We'll definitely go back!

Gabriel and his lovely family were more than willing to answer any questions and help us find a good restaurant or anything else we needed. Great hosts and very patient and encouraging with our attempts to speak French. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. Like a family run Holiday Inn. The hotel is at the north end of the beach, but easy walking distance for anywhere you might like to go in the beachfront area.

From the moment my husband and I arrived at Hotel de l'Europe, we were met with a smiling face and a helping hand. We were cycling from London to Paris and our bikes were safely stored in a large secure room. We realised that we hadn't got a European plug and the hotel kindly loaned us one not only for our stay but to take with us on our journey (we returned it on our way back from our epic cycle). Nothing was too much trouble. The room was large and spacious with a bathroom with a bath. We had the most spectacular views of Dieppe, which is the most beautiful port and I cannot recommend enough paying it a visit with a definite stay here. Location wise, you are right in the heart of the port but it is very peaceful and quiet, you will not be disappointed with a stay at Hotel de l'Europe.

My wife and I stayed here in May and June of 2022. The hotel is very clean and newly renovated. We have been personally welcomed by the owners each time and we smile as the owners personally welcome each guest and engage them as them come into the hotel every time. I feel like I am at my family's summer home. The hotel is located on the beach ***** and our rooms, as all the rooms, fact the ocean. As in most of France, there is no air conditioning, but non is needed. Each room has has a large double opening window facing the English Channel which we are pleased to leave open at night with the enjoyable ocean sounds. If there is anything we can be critical about, it's that Dieppe doesn't fill up mid week so there aren't crowds in the restaurants and along the beach during the week. We like seeing lot's of people. The hotel just built a new bar and lounge. It's really pretty, although we're not bar people. In all, we genuinely really like this hotel and we are coming back with another couple at the end of July.
